this is like nothing profound but i do think for a choice based game, a lot of your choices actually don’t matter and for having two romances options, they force courtney onto you no matter which way you go (picking BB or no romance)

also i think invisigal is a lame character and arguing the “the point of the game is to redeem villains” okay? doesn’t make her any less annoying, or her plot any less weird

I will never forgive DC for erasing Crystal Brown from Stephanie's storyline in N52. Like, Stephanie has a home, Stephanie has a loving mother and I am sick of the idea that she lives with the Waynes. I LOVE CRYSTAL BROWN CHAT!!!!!!!! Crystal Brown, who got sober and left her abusive husband. Crystal Brown, who became a nurse to support her and her daughter. Crystal Brown, who helped Stephanie with the decision about her baby.

Crystal Brown, who knew about her daughter's life as Spoiler and was proud of her for stopping her father. Crystal Brown, who grieved her daughter. Crystal Brown, who defended her daughter against Black Mask and encouraged her as she beat up her ex-boyfriend. Crystal Brown, who had her bad moments but ultimately became a better person for her daughter.

many posts going around about female characters and their recognition on tumblr… so i wanted to talk a little bit abt dc women (and bc this is a tim/bats blog — i’m talking specifically about cass and babs and steph)

they are given so much emotional depth, compassion, and presence in the earlier comics — that’s what makes me love them so much!! like they fuck up and learn and just exhibit incredible strength and will. this complexity and care nowadays is replaced with just. blatant infantilization and blandness.

to see them have so much power in the comics and to have them so brutally lost that in the canon since the 2010s is so sad and legitimately painful. and it’s all the more frustrating to see this same ineptitude and absence reproduced by fans who claim to be making a “better version of canon” with them always still missing!! it um. sucks ass, for uh. lack of a better term…
