Cuarentena
For those that don’t know what it means. Well, it means Quarantine in Spanish and that’s what were all doing. It doesn’t matter where you come from, what race, what language you speak we are all on doing our best to stay at home with hopes to mitigate the spread of la corona. Nope. Not la cerveza which carries a selection of Corona Extra and Corona Lite. Nope. This is real. This is deadly. This is the Coronavirus. It’s gang name, COV-19. I know what your thinking. How can this be happening? Everyone is inside. Maybe working from home or possibly lost their job. Some are mentally going crazy in their bedrooms crying (Like me) or seriously feeling the scrutiny pains of this disease (which I truly send my prayers and thoughts for). This has been by far the most toughest year para TODOS! To see, regardless of their previous background, getting grimly ill and sadly leading to death. It hurts me. It truly hurts me to hear the number of cases rising. The number of love ones dying. What hurts me the most is to hear fellow family friends from los pueblos where my family immigrated from (Chinantla, Puebla), los Poblanos are at a high rate leaving us due to COV-19. This tears me to pieces. When I get the call from family, “Did you hear another from our pueblo has passed away?” My first instinct is, are my abuela, tios, my aunts, my cousins, MI SOBRINOS okay?
It hurts now. Imagine when... Nope. I’m not going to think that way. I won’t bare it. Please God of highest. Please stop this. I beg you. All your children are begging you for your help. I know you don’t cause this but please help your children. Defeat this squad killer, COV-19. Por favor.
