spiderman jesper AND spiderman wylan where they're roomates and they dont realise the other is spiderman and when theyre civilians theyre friends but struggle to really get close bc theyre harbouring the Secret of being a Superhero but they flirt back and forth on patrols (esp cause wylans a little more confident flirting from behind the mask). jesper has tobey mcguire spider-powers (like him being grisha its a natural part of him) and wylan has andrew garfield/ tom holland spider-powers (making contraptions and the chemistry of the webs). they spiderman kiss but theres the twist of it being the first time they lift their masks up a little in front of each other... maybe later wylan looks at jesper and recognises the shape of jespers lips (canonically one of the first things wylan notices about him hello) van eck runs the daily bugle and hates both spidermen... kaz is an intern there and when jesper tries to sell photos to them for money kaz is instantly like bro youre so obviously spiderman and hes going a little insane because how is no one else putting two and two together (he promises not to tell as long as he gets a cut of the profit jesper makes from the photos)

Follow up to that pronunciation post. After spending way too long trying to reconcile why Jordan is canonically pronounced with a hard J when it seems like every other J name is said with a Y, was struck by a new headcanon:

It's regional.

In Ketterdam, Jordan is pronounced as Yordan. But because the Rietvelds are from very rural farm country, it's said with a hard J. Kaz had to train himself to "properly" pronounce his Js when he was killing off the farmboy accent, because it was a dead giveaway he was from the south.

On this same logic, when he busts out the fabricated Johannus Rietveld, it's also with a hard J. If he was a mercher from the city, it'd be Yohannus. But this is a Kerch farmer, that's just how they say it in the south.

Is this an airtight headcanon? No. Is it the only thing that's keeping me from spiraling into madness trying to find justification for Why They Pronounce It Like That beyond "Leigh messed that name up"? Yes, yes it is.

How has it taken me this long, with all my feelings about the crows, with all my love for Kanej and all the ways I relate to Kaz Brekker to notice this.

How have I possibly missed it? THE WHOLE TIME

Jesper and Inej pictured as standing together, overlapped and connected, and Kaz with the distance between them, no contact, alone.

Even in Ketterdam, even the Stadwatch, have seen enough to not have Kaz Brekker having physical contact in the representations for the wanted poster. They likely think it's because he is the boss and it's a respect thing- but STILL. They noticed.

Everyone can see how Kaz cannot be close to even his crows, to even Inej, no matter what he wants, he is still standing alone.
