Every day I have to remind myself that most people hate aliens and I may be one of the few who don't.

People would pretend they accept everyone, but they would only accept you if you fall neatly into their vision of "humanity". There's always a hidden scale.

What even is "humanity"? It means completely different things for different people. One can't use that as an argument to judge whether someone is deserving of acceptance or not. Everyone deserves acceptance. That's the whole biz about this "accept your weirdness" thing people go on about.

Unless that has conditions too. Unless some people just aren't supposed to accept their own weirdness. Wow, talk about being hypocritical.
