I had a bunch of ideas (that shift in primary focus) and wanted to share them with the world. It started with JJBA. But it’s expanded into other fandoms. Focus bounces between them but generally one takes the spotlight.
The list of fandoms expanded to we’re going to recategorize; Tolkien, Greek Mythology, Musicals, Visual Novels, D&D and other RPG, Anime and Manga, Roguelikes.
Most of this (on Tumblr) is D&D stuff or character outlines.

No. I'd describe my luck as slightly above average. Generally average but coming in clutch when it counts.

My second character ever didn't know how to uncurse a dragon and did not want to fight / find the wizard responsible and broke the curse with a nat 20 & romantic subplot.
My most played character is a rogue. An Inquisitive that maxed Wisdom leaving Dexterity at 16. Frequently missing in combat BUT reliably passing skill checks & making saves. Most notably the Coin of all or Nothing. I believe they used it thrice. First asking the final boss out on a date. Once on a save (demonic charm I think) with an expected DC where a 50/50 gave the edge of 5%. And a third that I think was also a save.

Narratively it's definitely Scarlet Hollow, which has distinct themes of coming home [returning to one's ancestral home]. BUT probably Slay the Spire. I have thoroughly enjoyed the game. It's currently the longest played game in my Steam library 1000+ hours and I'm close to 300%++. Not just 100% completion on all saves, I got that a while back. But A20 with all 4 characters. You can get all achievements BUT you will get to "100%" before you hit A20 with all 4 characters.

BG3 and Hades 1 /2 are stylistic and very pretty but are very real people looking.
West of Loathing / Shadows Over Loathing, and The Henry Stickmin Collection are more stick figure + simple art.
Of the Devil, Scarlet Hollow, Stray Gods, and Ghost Trick I'd praise for their narrative. But each also has a distinct art style.
So in summary visual art v. narrative makes a big difference and I like something that's unique as it helps the game stand out.

I don't have one? Most of the games I play are roguelikes and the visual novels I do play are narratively rich and a good time commitment. Nothing I'd categorie as comfy/cozy.

Depends on technicalities. Wii Sports was definitely back there but so were a lot of connect 3 & tower defense games on the computer. BUT for /classic/ games Tetris.
Anyways- I thought I’d the “unstoppable force vs immovable object” punchline first and somehow that devolved into making a 6 page setup comic while also lowkey making a whole ass fic idea where this situation can happen.
Btw this is based on, mainly, two fics (though there are a couple about there that do this concept) so if the premise seems familiar- it’s prolly cause I mix and jumbled those ideas and made my own version of the concept to daydream about lol. The bigger inspiration one is The Great Partners’ Great Love Revealed by skyedancer_rae (a little nod to that fic is why Yujin is holding a plant and helping Iris in the first place). The other one is Partners by MHCalista (lowkey where the Kazuma “did you fuck my dad” line came from on top of art/posts having Susato say it). Both are great- and if you like this concept I highly recommend both of them
This took me so goddamn long to do- I sketched the idea like a week before Homumiko week, 4 MONTHS AGO.
Little doodles on moments in this hypothetical fic that I’ll never write, plus a mini comic on how I think the whole ordeal would have started under the cut. (it’s a little suggestive? But nothing explicit). I’m also writing my fic idea because why the fuck not- I spent so long thinking about this…
SO FIC IDEA HERE WE GO- the divergence would start with Naruhodo saying he actually wants to stay in England longer- citing he doesn’t feel like he’s knowledgeable/ has enough experience as a lawyer rn (I mean he’s been doing it for a little over a year and Mikotoba wants him to basically spearhead the reformation of Japans legal system???? Uhhhh yeah imma need a few more years).
In my head- he announces this to the Baker fam at the dinner instead of privately with Mikotoba since it’s nice news everyone would prolly like to hear. Funny moment where both Susato and Mikotoba are shocked af cause they thought he was gonna go back, with Mikotoba being like “damn can I get a refund on those two ship tickets…”
Mikotoba at first still plans to return to Japan, alone, but convincing from everyone + Sholmes looking at him all sad and yearingly get him to stay for a couple of months, as he deals with Jigoku and all the fallout from Case 5, from England instead of Japan (cause bros the like advisor to Forgin Affairs or smth???). Main reasons why he’s staying is to stay with Susato (ofc she’s staying if Naruhodo is) since she’s been gone for a year and he dosent want to leave her like he did the first 6 yrs of her life, and of course to spend more time with Sholmes ( who he’s was in a long distance relationship with at this point)
Mikotoba questions where he’ll stay, while Sholmes said they can share a room. Slight side eye from everyone but Sholmes logics that renting or continuing to live at a hotel is not financially sustainable, the girls need their own room, and he and Mikotoba have roomed together many times on cases before so it’s better then either of them sharing with Ryu. Great- no one really cares and life goes on.
Where this comic sort of starts off is a couple of nights after they all decided to stay- Mikotobas like “we should prolly tell our daughters (and I guess Ryu cause he’s like their pseudo-brother???) about our relationship- it’d be kinda weird not to since we’re all living together and they deserve to know” and Sholmes is like “yeah, for sure” BUT- 1900s homophobia exists, so even though both of them are 99% sure they didn’t raise their daughters to be like that- there’s still that 1% yk? So Sholmes, being a troll, goes “what if we see how their deductive skill are coming along and see if they can deduce it themselves” and Mikotoba kinda eye rolls but eventually agrees under the condition that they tell them after a week cause he really dosent think this is something to keep secret of from their daughters- and is worried they’ll be mad for not telling them if they found out much later down the line.
Worry not, Mikotoba cause that’s exactly what they do. You know how if you’re around a person or you’re group of friends you REALLY like and vibe with- you just become more energetic? Like that feeling of being a little more extra, a little more loud when hanging with people you really have fun with? I’m thinking that’s what’s going on with Sholmes having Mikotoba around after so long of not seeing him, and of course Iris pick up on that fact. The same thing happens with Mikotoba, just on a slightly lower scale. Idk I wanted the first tell to be something not glaringly obvious. The comic basically explains what happens next.
(Ps- the story Mikotoba is telling Iris is basically his version of the Three Garridebs- where he/ “Watson” got shot and Sholmes went apeshit)
I think after they gather at Baker Street, Susato and Iris do a Dance of Deduction after Sholmes demands proof of their claim that he and Mikotoba are “totally in love”.
(Also yes Kazuma is doing a 1900’ version of that “DID YOU FUCK MY DAD?” from Its Always Sunny.)

That is profound. I noticed this by accident when asked about adjectives by a Japanese student. She translated something from Japanese like “Brown big cat” and I corrected her. When she asked me why, I bluescreened.
I’m kinda reading “brown big cat” as “brown (big cat)”, that is, a “big cat” - like a tiger or lion or other felid of similar size - that happens to be brown. “Big brown cat”, on the other hand, sounds more like a brown cat that’s just a bit bigger than a regular housecat - like a bobcat or a maine coon cat or something like that.
yeah, if you put the adjectives out of order you wind up implying a compound noun, which is presumably why we have this rule; we stripped out so much inflection over the centuries word order now dictates a huge amount of our grammar
Just looked up why we do this and one of the first lines in this article is, “Adjectives are where the elves of language both cheat and illumine reality.” so I know it’s a good article.

This same order of adjectives more or less applies to languages around the world. “It’s possible that these elements of universal grammar clarify our thought in some way,” says Barbara Partee, a professor emeritus of linguistics and philosophy at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. Yet when the human race tacitly decided that shape words go before color words go before origin words, it left no record of its rationale.
One theory is that the more specific term always falls closer to the noun. But that doesn’t explain everything in adjective order.
Another theory is that as you get closer to the noun, you encounter adjectives that denote more innate properties. In general, nouns pick out the type of thing we’re talking about, and adjectives describe it,” Partee told me. She observes that the modifiers most likely to sit right next to nouns are the ones most inclined to serve as nouns in different contexts: Rubber duck. Stone wall.
Rules are made to be broken. Switching up the order of adjectives allows you to redistribute emphasis. (If you wish to buy the black small purse, not the gray one, for instance, you can communicate your priorities by placing color before size). Scrambling the order of adjectives also helps authors achieve a sense of spontaneity, of improvising as they go. Wolfe discovers such a rhythm, a feeling-his-way quality, when he discusses his childhood recollection of “brown tired autumn earth” and a “flat moist plug of apple tobacco.”
Brain scans have discovered that your brain has to work harder to read adjectives in the “wrong” order.
TL;DR: No one knows why we do this adjective thing but it’s pretty hardwired in.
