Brown stained glass, tight long sleeves, cowboy boots and a weird relationship with pain. Fingers in coarse sand, knowing how to cook but not having a stove, singing at a jazz club late at night, horse hooves on cobblestones, bad poetry, standing in the middle of the street under the moon.
Sloan Starling- Tall and anything but mysterious, we’ll never know what their assigned gender is. Boring but enticing. A tough crowd for our main character who’s used to center stage.

Nessi- very sleepy horse with huge balls, always referred to as she/her. represents the closest thing october has to home. She’s sweet, and doesn't fuss or complain when october goes MIA, she's just grateful for his return.
A torn blanket, a house plant that might be dying, a glass of water that's gone stale, rain boots, swiss miss, bean bags, old stuffed animals, a warm shoulder, sleeping on the couch, hiding under the slide from the rain.
