Please don’t hate us, Hungarians. Most of us are fed up and absolutely hate Orbán and his government. We want him to lose the next election. We do not support him!
He called Hungarians who disagree with him bugs in his speech on our last national holiday (March 15).
Most of his supporters are elderly or live in parts of the country where only his propaganda is shared, portraying him as a savior of family and Christian values.
We are hoping he will lose the next election in 2026. In the past few weeks, he has made terrible decisions that have tarnished Hungary’s reputation.
We have been holding weekly protests because he banned Pride, claiming it “corrupts children.” Yet last year, his government (through then President Katalin Novák) pardoned the accomplice of a convicted p*d*phile. To de-escalate the backlash, she was forced to resign, and the convicted p*d*phile was not released.
Over the years, Orbán has actively stripped LGBTQ+ citizens of their rights.
He has no problem letting the education and healthcare systems collapse, as long as he and his family and friends continue to profit.
He also withdrew Hungary from the International Criminal Court (ICC) without giving citizens any say in the decision.
If you only see the decisions he has made, I understand why Hungary looks like an absolute disaster.
But we Hungarians are not the government! We are fed up, we want change, and we are actively fighting to make things better!
