It's so interesting how the OG Jekyll and Hyde book fandom and the Monster High's Jackson and Holt fandom have perfectly opposite misconceptions* about their source materials to the point where if you switch them they'd be actually fitting
J&H fandom wholeheartedly believes that there exists in the book a character named Edward Hyde, it's this guy Jekyll created in a lab that now inhabits the body with him like a roommate and has his own separate thoughts, attitudes and a narrative point of view and Jekyll to him is a third person in the most literal sense. He is to be viewed and treated independently from Jekyll.
Meanwhile, MH fandom practically refuses to view Jackson and Holt independently to the point where they'll write their names with a slash like they are interchangeable and use singular pronounces when talking about both of them
It's interesting because Jackson and Holt are basically yet another J&H adaptation that uses the "two diff guys in one body" interpretation mentioned above and actually takes it to an extreme yet mh fans are like "nope. same guy just different name" when not even OG book gets viewed that way and it's literally its plot. Like how did MH do that?
*I boldly used the word "misconception" but to be fair MH is super inconsistent with its writing and some of it does validate that view but it's kinda rare
