If you seek to be holy for any other reason than to be more like Christ? Then you need to retrace your steps, because the pathway to holiness does not lead us to Heaven, it leads us to be more like Christ, restoring those around us and eventually bring the glory of Heaven down to earth. Because we are not to escape, but to make new, not to enslave, but to set free. We are more than our own desires, we are called to be what God wants us to be; which is pure and holy as He is, loving and kind as He is, passionate and interactive as He is! When we engage in the gospel, we engage in being changed daily, to be the image of God. This is why we must stand up to what we think is worth fighting for, and allow God to work in us and through us! Only when led by the Holy Spirit can we ever hope to have restoration, and only when we hear and listen to Christ can we have peace and joy. This I know, I am weak but He is strong, and I am desperate for Christ to work in me each and every day.
