⭕️Connor grunts as he’s tackled out of his chair, eyes wide with confusion. He seems confused and a little annoyed, “…I was kind of in the middle of something… Do I..Know you?” He says slowly sitting up and dusting himself off, his hands moving up to fix his tie before looking back at who tackled him.

The teen quickly gets off of him, her entire appearance flickering as she smiles a little sheepishly.

"Heh, sorry. You good?"

She has medium length hair, fair skin, and has a hair clip that has a clover design. Her clothing is almost all black, kinda expectedly. Despite her antics, she does look genuine.

⭕️“I’m... Fine.” Connor says simply as he moves to get up, “you aren’t supposed to be back here, this is the bullpen of the DPD.” He remarks, his eyes narrowing as he looks away. He put a finger to his chin as he contemplated how she got in, in the first place.

He shook his head, “either way, I’m busy. I don’t have time for conversations, I’m on the job.” He stated bluntly.

Hank's coffee sloshed dangerously as he drops into his chair, muttering under his breath. He takes a long sip, grimaces, then pushes the mug aside like it personally offended him.

"Christ," he exhales, rubbing his nose bridge. "If this is what passes for 'fresh', I'm filing a complaint."

He gaze lifts, unfriendly and unimpressed.

"I know there's at least one walking calculator around here who could tell me exactly why this tastes like garbage." A pause. "Not that I asked for a lecture." He gruffed.

⭕️Connor while looking through the files, notably perks up as the other sits down in his own desk across from his own. Hearing him speak, he blinks a couple of times. “I could. Either the coffee grounds are expired, or someone didn’t change the filter for the coffee machine.” He hums, before smiling softly. “Also- good morning, Lieutenant. I was just getting familiar with all the case files in the database, it will surely help us!” He said rather determinedly, he was getting the hang of emotions- very slowly- and there were a lot of emotions he still couldn’t quite get or understand, nor did he know how to handle them and just how conflicting they could be. But he was managing.

Hank takes another cautious sip of the coffee, frowning harder this time.

" Yeah... You're right. Expired grounds, dirty filter. Congratulations Connor, you solved the mystery of terrible coffee." His voice was flat, but edged with a hint of dry humour.

He pushes the mug aside and glances at the files Connor's methodically sorting through. The Android's dedication annoys him a little, making him feel lazy. It's rare, having someone around who actually seems to care about getting it right. It's tugging on Hank's imaginary heart strings.

"Just don't get buried under all that paper. You'll need more than reading to figure this case out." He leaned back, swiftly analyzing Connor's movement then readjusting his chair, going back to his own paperwork and reports.

⭕️He hummed and took a moment, simply nodding. “I will be fine, I think it will help us solve this case faster.” He remarked, leaning back as he finished scanning through the files.

He turned his body fully toward Hank this time, tilting his head. “How do you think we should start the day? Maybe we could go over what we know.” He suggested, fixing his tie. “Does Fowler have a scene he wants us to go, to?” he asked curiously.

He took a moment before crossing his legs, looking over to the side where Gavin usually is. “Is Gavin not coming in for work today?” he narrowed his eyes inquisitively, putting a hand to his chin in contemplation. It wasn’t uncommon for Gavin to be late, but usually Nine had that covered.

⭕️As he turned on the computer and began looking through the database. He hummed at the voice, nodding. “That sounds intriguing. Is that still in my department? I’d imagine it involves an android in some way?” He asked curiously, scanning all the files into his memory. Noting suspects, and small notes made on each file.

Sitting down and looking through the files, it seems Hank was late- as always. That wouldn’t stop him from looking over the most recent case files.

The android scans the others' expression curiously. Before nodding at his words. “I’m glad to hear you are doing well, Lieutenant. Me? Well... Still figuring out what exactly I’m meant to be doing.” he admitted. “I’m just a tad bit lost”

Hank raises an eyebrow, thinking for a moment before he replies.

Well, our shift is almost over, so how about we get ya some new clothes? You can't just wear your uniform and my hoodie all the time.

Hank suggests, turning to Connor and taking a sip of his now cold coffee.

⭕️He pauses before looking over to Hank. “My clothes?” He inquired a bit obliviously, what was wrong with his clothes?

“I can’t? Is there a functional issue with my current attire?” He asked tilting his head slightly.

“I feel it’s… familiar. And if it works why spend more on something unnecessary? But if it is necessary to have a…variety. I suppose we could…look at other clothing options.”

⭕️Connor took out a coin from his pocket and began flipping it through his fingers. “Lieutenant, I am going to be blunt with you. I don’t understand the point of different clothing, especially since I don’t own any currency myself, I’d….feel..” that was always such a weird word, it still felt weird to say. “…Discontented in the use of that money, that isn’t even my own.”

He flicked the coin into the air with his thumb, letting it spin in the air. “I have yet to find myself feeling inclined to purchase something of my own.” He admitted. “What about you Lieutenant? Do you ever feel inclined to purchase something?”

Also, I dont mind spending money on you. Got nothing better to do with my extra money since you've been on my ass about drinking.

And, yes. I've bought lots of shit just because I've wanted to. Now, some of it just sits in the closet untouched.

Hank replies, walking next to Connor out of the predicted, running his fingers through his beard.

⭕️He blinked, humming. “So, besides drinking, you consider purchasing things for me to be the only ideal alternative use of your finances?” He questioned aloud, tossing the coin into his other hand and letting it twirl on his pointer finger. “Also, alcohol is bad for you. Additionally, it’s non-permanent. In some cases that makes things less ideal to purchase.”

“Well- I don’t believe that to be true. In fact, I can think of a handful of things you could spend your money on other than alcohol.” He remarked in a ‘matter of fact’ way.

Once Anderson began walking he followed close behind, though quickly quickened his pace to walk beside him. After all, Hank often complained about him following behind him like a dog. So Connor made a habit of trying to walk beside him rather than behind him, though he still often walked behind him anyway.
