Haven't posted for a while, don't expect that to change lol but I downloaded a new brush right. And I was like "well how do I use this thing anyways??" and then Nightcrawler came to mind

The proportions are absolutely wack but I am going to lie and say that it's simply perspective and you can't tell because of the brush/style/whatever, and I am going to leave it there

Recently rewatched Watership Down, and decided to tackle the remake, so I'm very much stuck on it- hence the little wavy bits in the background, I was thinkin of Frith. And looking for excuses to add more haha. Not related in the slightest, I'm not sure why my brain told me to do it, but hey, it's pretty. I love working w red/yellow, they're such good colors...

I figured a blob of color behind him helped it out, originally it was gonna be blue and then I was like "well why not the sun" and y'know what I like how it turned out.

I think? Watch of this movie?? Maybe more I dunno, but I'm awake so I mean who cares

Last post had me thinking about Wolverine as an actual wolverine, oddly I find that drawing a character as an animal is both easier on me because I've been drawing them all my life and helps me understand the character a bit more, and that led to what animal Deadpool would be, and while usually I'd say a honey badger because they too refuse to die and will go out of their way to harass things much bigger than themselves, this time I thought it'd be a little more fitting to make him a really, really pesky raven/crow.

Both original references from this lovely site, the lineart's done but the colors are a super rough sketch because migraine. still, it's silly, it's fun, I actually quite like this so far. The colors are fun to mess with

I've been anxious for genuinely no reason (job maybe???) these past few days and was in a Wolverine mood today. As in the character. But didn't wanna draw humans today. But I thought "hey I really like mustelids why not do some anatomy practice with an actual wolverine" and then I realized it would be really funny if I posted it to this blog anyways

It cheered me up so here you go. This pose reminds me of Brother Bear ngl. What are wolverines if not sad-angry weasel-bear-things?

I'm actually really fond of the fur and shading. Way better than last time I drew one. I only used a reference for the anatomy, the fur I just did whatever felt fun, I love his lil mask thing

I gotta do it with humans so I can start diversifying my guys but head hurt and brain wants to spend time with family instead so. Take my weird oversized ferret instead

I was gonna put this in the blog description before realizing it was long and rambly so for anyone who's interested, the summarized version of how I got into Marvel at all as someone who grew up relatively uninterested in it as a kid

Watched the Spiderverse movies. step one.

Got into fanart through artists I already liked and animation stuff. step two.

And the most important, lengthiest one: I'm HUGE on Predator, I love those big aliens my dude. My aunt and her fiance know this entirely because it's that big of a hyperfixation, they're so cool, and got me some of the comics for my birthday like the cool people they are. on top of the Predator 2 comics (City Hunter is the best...) I also got one volume of the Predator vs. Wolverine comics which my aunt i'm assuming jokingly said she considered keeping for herself. Despite not knowing anything about Wolverine or most Marvel characters I figured hey this seems really fun. and it was. Really Wolverine-centered but I expected that much it's a Marvel comic why would they prioritize the funky evil alien they just bought. Anyways. I dove in face-first. I got #4, the one with the dinosaurs on it for some reason, and the second I finished it I was on a quest to get the other three, it was like I had to. That led to "woah hey Wolverine is cool..." and now here we are with me making this about Marvel as a whole. Wolverine is in fact the coolest mutant (Sabretooth is neat too I love his design in Evolution. he meows at some point that's hilarious) and also Nightcrawler and Beast are neat dude...

Also it's not just mutants. it's Mostly Mutants. but not entirely. Like it makes no sense given who I am as a person (major punk lmao) BUT Iron Man is neat dude. I think it's the dry humor and the way he so blatantly does not get people. he's just cool... and Falcon. I really liked Falcon. And ofc I'd like Venom. Idk who else. Hawkeye??? Hawkeye's kinda neat.

I drew this really quickly on my phone with my hands but Lycannnn this is the absolute numbskull in my PFP he's an OC of mine and I adore him. There is not a thought in that head. He can and will be bribed with food. Sleepy. He can't shift or anything he just looks like that. all the time. but lord does he have some thick skin (emotionally and physically, my man is dense as a rock when he wants to be and I love him for it <3)

Lycan like all OCs that I make expecting to use once or twice and then constantly use, actually has a really serious backstory. Like really really serious. he's a mutant, what you think he gets sunshine, no. And he's a really serious person. but I adore portraying him as this big (relatively average-sized) lumbering oaf who 100% sleeps on the couch just because he can

This is the first time I've successfully drawn him as a human AND successfully done a dumb silly sketch of any humans, mwah mwah Lycan my beloved, I picked a lot of traits for him that I tend to stray from (character with animal traits that doesn't have just straight up animal ears, baby tail, the pointy ears are adorable, like none of my male characters as of late have had short-ish hair, he's. So helpful. And facial hair. It helps sell the look so well. Before he looked kinda eh but now??? That's a wolfman if I've ever seen one)

I could go on about this silly dog guy for so long. So so long.

I thought it would be funny and in my humble, i-laugh-at-anything opinion, it is. but like jokes aside I love how this came out. for once I did everything on one layer, shading and such included (the pants and shirt got their own layers but still, shadows and light were all on one, that's new), and this is my first time drawing him so woooo
