Fictives in Fandom Survey

Hello all! Our name is Sprites and we're conducting a survey regarding the existence of, and the relationship between, fictives in fandom. We're a system primarily made up of fictives and were inspired after talks with @thesaltinstitute to make a survey to discuss this topic. We're curious how it'll turn out! Please feel free to reblog this and share this in other spaces off of Tumblr to anyone who may be interested in this!

Description: We are conducting a survey regarding the relationship between fictives and their thoughts/engagement with fandom at large (either for their source's fandom or different fandoms they are not related to.) Please try to fill it out once per body/system (as there's options for multiple choice answers and spaces to elaborate on inner system differences.)

Timeframe: We'll leave this open for a year (end collection in the beginning of April) and then it should (hopefully) take only a month or two to go over results and post them.

don't!

no, really, if you can't speak to eachother, then don't force it. embrace what you can control. be yourselves loudly, think about eachother, speak about eachother to other people, muse on eachothers' interests. be willing to form your intrasystem relationships without verbal contact.

ur median mod is here to suggest the alternative route. "try co-fronting". if you can both be present at once. if you can sustain two trains of thought simultaneously. those streams crossing and starting to talk to each other can be pretty natural. sometimes you just start interrupting each other and arguing amongst yourselves at that point, but even that can be kinda nice.

but yeah. not mandatory. not how every system works. and definitely not necessary for having feelings about each other or negotiating agreements within a system. you can always write things down for someone else to read later.

choose your own adventure type advice. pick whichever route speaks to your own experience and works for you.

"came back wrong" is SUCH a good explanation of what being an introject feels like to me. i came back wrong. i am this person but its not Right. im not being me right and everyone knows it. i dont look or sound or act like myself anymore and i dont know if its because everyone grows and changes, or if its because of this wrongness in me. everyone says its not there, and i dont know if i can believe them. i say my name, i dont know if i can trust the people who recognize it. everyone wants something from me, wants me to be someone i am not, yet still am. if i say i am not that person i am treated like a liar for even having their face, and if i say i am i will never be doing it right. you see??

we hate ourselves (well. the flesh prison) a little less bc of a haircut and we discovered that even though the haircut doesnt match anyone's style and no one is like personally happy with it we all mutually agree it is the "safest" and most "us" look. because we all dont see this body as our own. its just a vessel. a very ugly limited player character and well. the least worse bad option will do.
