This is the best gift I have ever received. My grandpa gave me the old Nikon he used when I was growing up. The yellow strap is the part I remember most. This camera and him are the reason I love photography. Whether I am any good or not doesn’t matter to me. It makes me feel a certain way and that’s what I love about it. I vividly remember being in Europe when I was around 12/13 and shooting my moms old 35mm camera. It wasn’t anything special but it is what got me hooked. I remember being in Germany on our hosts computer looking for a camera “just like bobs”. It took me forever because I didn’t know anything about cameras and was googling “Nokia”... yeah I was clueless. I finally found a Nikon n75 that I had to have even though digital was just taking off. I wanted 35mm because it was “real” not the fake digital stuff. A lot has happened since then. I still have the old Nikon n75 that I use to this day and will never get rid of. I’m not sure where I am going with this. I just didn’t know something as small as a camera could hold so much value. Not gonna lie I had to hold back some tears when opening it. I can’t wait to this thing.
