I don’t know what this is but I love it.
@thatpaintedpony It’s apparently a Dutch folkloric tradition of a beach ride! Where they would ride the animals to the beach and wash their feet in a ritual type way—it seems to have begun as a way to welcome spring (which would make sense with all the flowers), near as I can tell!
It’s called the Straô and I went down quite the insomnia-driven rabbit hole but with google translate, managed to figure out that much! Here’s a link if anymore wants to read more: http://noordwelle.com/strao/ (it’s in Dutch, btw).

yeah adhd can be a pain in the ass but can neurotypicals do THIS? *focuses so hard on listening to someone that i end up focusing on focusing and end up not listening bc im too busy focusing*
“This Is Why You’re Always So Tired”
I have all of these EXCEPT that the last one will hit me even if I am very interested in what I’m doing, talking about or watching. I can absolutely love it and fall asleep. But, I guess loving something and entering “hyperfocus” are still two different things. I can definitely get a rare hyperfocus where I suddenly can no longer get tired.
The adhd modes of food
1. You ate that burger so fast. You ate that burger so fucking fast and now the whole Red Robin is staring at you god what the fuck
2. You started eating like a normal person, but then you started talking or daydreaming and now the waitress is handing you the check but you’ve still got half a plate of cold fettuccine
3. You were going to go out to eat, but then you saw a video in your YouTube recommendation that drew you towards it like moth to a flame, and now it’s 10 pm and you’ve got an empty bag of tortilla chips in your hand and shame in your heart
4. Mac And Cheese
5. You got engrossed in a project, suddenly you feel like you’re going to die, or faint, or both? Oh. you’re hungry.
6. You’re hungry. But every food you can think of sounds disgusting. Time for your 15th day of lunchables for breakfast in a row.
ok no need to call me out directly
GOD OF CORMS
This picture is very bittersweet for me, as it was commissioned by a dear friend as a gift to his husband, and features their beautiful old cat who passed away not long after the picture was finished.
Toluca was a very good boy and by god, he loved corn.
This story is true; I commissioned this portrait of Toluca for Joe’s birthday and he was absolutely delighted (and emotional). Knowing Toluca had a medical condition and was getting older, this was something I’d wanted to do for a while, but none of us were expecting it when Toluca passed away very suddenly a few days later.
This painting is now extra dear to Joe, not only because of the timing, but because (these are his words), this is how Toluca SHOULD be remembered.
A sweet, wide-eyed soft orange puff of a boy who was absolutely fucking bonkers for corn.
Sweetest gift featuring the sweetest boy, I already miss this soft boy so much. ;;;
