19/3/18 A rare moment of good lighting has graced my room today. So a rare studyblr photo has reached my blog to celebrate it. I’m feeling motivated to work but as soon as I get going i suddenly feel so tired. I’m feeling a little sad today, it’s nearly easter so the break will be good, but it means saying hello to a lot of work, and this week is so work heavy because after the strikes I’m having to cram a lot of work in, and so are the department. xxx Emily
random academic tip but i wrote all my undergraduate papers in google docs and it never failed me. no evil microsoft word formatting goofs. emergency printing? i can print everywhere. not saving? it backs up every five minutes. need someone to look over it for feedback/advice? i send them a link. google docs saved my paper-writing butt in undergrad.

A photo from a while ago ‘cause we’re having grey gloomy weather every single day this October so it’s impossible to take good photos. But on a slightly brighter note, uni experience has been very nice so far, I like the subjects that we’re studying, although i can’t say the same about our professors (some of them are either weird or really bad at explaining things). I took this photo when I was reviewing some german ‘cause i’ve been pretty bad at studying languages recently(
I’m in love with my November monthly spread 📚 I usually never use yellow but I love this color palette.

i had my first day of classes this year and it went okay. some of the new teachers are really nice and they will be a delight to work with. others, might get a bit difficult.
i reviewed some of the notes from today and rewrote some things. this is purely so i could understand them.
also printed some postcards for my project. i think they look really nice.

Week 0 is over and that means a brand new quarter and a fresh start! I love my classes so far and I don’t know how I did it but I only have classes Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 😭Third year + apartment life + all my friends back is a beautiful combo. I’m excited to go coffeeshop hopping again and go to classes again and jump back into everything ahh
job apps are not! my fave! new plan: start a business fixing & editing all of the websites i’ve come across while checking out companies. if i have to read through another ‘about us’ page that is: a) grammatically incorrect and b) full of typos, i will absolutely scream
September 14, 2019 // week 2 wrapped up
It’s the first time I drink coffee since like 1 year!?!? (And it’s vegan and homemade and it tastes soooooo good!!!!) I’m really enjoying all the free time and the sunny weather :’) I still need to write three papers but I finished the first one yesterday :)
August Spread
I’m really looking forward to the last month of true summer! I fly to London on August 31 and begin my study abroad program so there is a lot to prepare for but also a lot to enjoy until then. Anticipation is part of the journey! Here’s to fresh strawberries, Hong Kong style boba, warm nights, binge watching Star Wars, and finishing the books that have been waiting for me to come back to them all year long. 🍓
