NEW YEAR'S MASQUERADE
Gothel & Tooth invite you to a last minute N e w Y e a r ’ s C e l e b r a t i o n to bring in 2 0 1 5. Being held at their place of residence (big house at the edge of town, can’t miss it!) music, backyard display of fireworks, a pool, glow sticks, and lots of food and drinks to go around, and good vibes for everyone.
This rendezvous will span from December 29th, 2014 to January 4th, 2015.
EVENT RULES:
Anyone can participate! We’d ask for guests to come wearing masks, but, not really required. Masks will also be provided at the event.
Big point: this will, for the most part, take place in a modern setting. We can always twist and bend things around to make it work for anyone who doesn’t have a character that would work for a modern setting, so, feel free to use or not use a modern verse.
mothergothell and I will be moderating the event, for the most part, but, other than that, you can feel free to do whatever you would like. Make up your own subplots to go with the main event.
The event tag will be #g&t’s masquerade 2k15, and if you want to just put commentary on maybe something going on in another’s thread, as if your character is a silent observer of it happening, put it under #masquerade commentary.
We will also be holding a few games of IC Cards Against Humanity, so watch out for the links to those, as they will be circulating. PLUS, there will be prizes for those who win games of CAH.
Now, we don’t want any problems to arise during the night, so we ask for everyone to, please, keep it civil.

"Now, don't you move Baymax." Hiro said, with excitement in his tone. The robot could recognize he was happy. After a long time of mourning his brother, Hiro was somewhat healed. Baymax tilted his head, wondering what the little one wanted with him. A few seconds later, Hiro came back with a shiny and pointy object in hands. His analyses told him it was a star, and he knew what purpose that star had.
"There you go. You can put it on the top of the tree!" Baymax looked down, at his hands, now holding the meaningful object. Then looked up, at the tree. It was taller than him. He raised his hands, not reaching the top. The robot stopped and looked back at Hiro. The boy laughed. "C'mon, you gotta try to reach it!". His computer was calculating the angles and strength he would need to use to either reach the top or get the tree down. He couldn't do the second one, because that would just destroy all decoration Hiro spent time into. And he wouldn't do the first one, since he could not jump high enough.
Taking a few steps back, Baymax prepared himself. Checking all his calculations, he threw the object and it fell right on the top of the Christmas tree, shaking a little but coming stable after a while.
Hiro looked at him like he had done a great deed. "That was awesome!" He shouted, raising his fist to what Baymax got used being the 'fist bump'. The robot closed his hand and touched the other's, both saying 'fa-la-la' together at the end.
Going back to Hiro's room, Baymax couldn't resist looking at Tadashi's bed. He was a robot, therefore he should not feel emotions. And yet, a small part of him knew what he was feeling could be associated to missing his former creator. He turned away, looking at Hiro. He had a squared shaped, badly wrapped, gift in hands. "For you." The boy said while raising the present.
"Gifts exchange is a well known Christmas tradition. I should not accept this until I have something to give back." Hiro laughed, shaking his head. "No, no. Baymax this is for you. You don't have to give me anything back." Baymax tilted his head, confused with the statement. "C'mon, take it!" And so he did. Unwrapping it without tearing anything apart was easy for him, since he could see from all angles where would be the best place to start.
Inside the wrapping was a picture of him and Hiro. Perhaps taken after the boy reactivated him. Signed with a messy handwriting was 'thank you'. Baymax looked up, no words spoken. "I know I know, it's a little cheesy. But hey, I made it with my heart." Hiro was smiling, emotions such as happiness, nostalgia and a bit of sadness could be found in it.
Baymax then decided it was time to give his gift, though he had not prepared it. His stomach blinked, and a picture of Tadashi and his little brother appeared. It had been taken when Hiro was accepted into San Fransokyo Institute of Technology. Hiro smiled, a single tear dropping from his face while he raised his hand and touched the picture. "Thank you, Baymax."
I finally saw Big Hero 6, so I was able to make thoughteater's sweater suggestion happen!! Baymax and Hiro are the cutest forever, and Aunt Cass definitely seems the type to have an ugly-sweater-Christmas.
Send me more ideas, please! I need to draw more sweaters.
