Everyday he has to make a choice
Hot Take: what if Saiki started to like Teruhashi for real in Chapter 182?
I started thinking about the possibility after writing this post and honestly, now I’m kind of convinced it’s possible.
I mean, like I mentioned before, it would fit. Before this chapter, Saiki was so certain Teruhashi was into him just because he refused to give into her (Chapter 149). But in Chapter 182, he realizes that no, that’s not it. She does genuinely like him. What’s more, she doesn’t like an idealized version of him. She likes him for him, as he is. And realizing it touches him. It literally “moves his heart”.
And given the way their dynamic is handled throughout the manga—aka, that every time Saiki wants something, Teruhashi turns the tables on him. Like when Saiki wanted Teruhashi’s likeability to go down, and instead her likeability goes up with him (Chapter 29).
It fits that the moment Saiki tries to make Teruhashi fall for someone else, he can’t because he may just like her himself, after all.
This is exactly the kind of divine irony the mangaka uses to develop their relationship.
And honestly, if you take into account how their interactions are handled from 182 up to the end, I do think it adds up.

Can't Help Falling in Love💖
I'm genuinely sorry but-
Hes messed up. Instead of having confident he has an inflated ego,hes genuinely narcissist. He saids don't be a villain that's bad then tortures his friends and girlfriend. He probably has worked with the voice but doesn't anymore because he has PTSD abt it,he literally almost cried because freakshow talked abt their old times and the phone guy,in his sleep hes said he'll kill his friends later.
One thing I have to point out,hes always right about vannie. Like seriously,he predicated dooms day a week before it happened,he guessed vannie is a human, and he might be right because she in the canon fnaf games is a human.
I HAD TO LOOK UP WHAT THE HELL APODICTICALLY MEANT
Why the hell did Denki talk like that in this panel? Why the big words? Over compensating for his yeah👍yeah👍mode?
