Here is the first part of my book! I’m working hard on trying to make it just right, and design the characters! Taigo is a pangender elf with her k-9 type companion Tabogan!
Sure the day had turned dark and the “night” had begun, but the day didn’t end until Taigo said it did. “The sun never sleeps, she keeps running. who am I to rest when adventure waits for no man?!” they said confidently to their loyal K-9 Tabogan.
As Taigo gathered their things to prepare for their journey, they became painfully aware of their lack of direction… or plan.
What to pack? “snacks, water, sweater, change of clothes, music, money, blank-“
When Taigo reached for the blanket, their foot was no match for the lifted floorboard.
They tripped on the bed, their face slammed into the soft pillows and wool blankets. Taigo was now fighting their biggest foe, the enemy they couldn’t help but fall in love with every time they met… Sleep.
Hours passed, day was light again, and the moon had left on her adventure without Taigo.
The sun sent it’s blinding rays through the windows and past the curtains, causing Taigo to wake up.
"No no no NO!” Taigo shouted at the sky, “How will I ever run away with the moon when I keep falling victim to my bed?!” They threw themselves back into the pillows.
“Maybe if you slept through the hours of the sun?” Tabogan offered his best advice, but the way of elves remained foreign to him.
“Oh boggers… I can’t sleep, how will I work to afford to live?
"how could you work if you played with the moon? sleep is unavoidable"
"I’LL NEVER SLEEP! Who am I to miss out on time with the sun AND the moon?!
Taigo was determined to dance with both their loves, despite the limits of their Elvin body.
