Hallie is a sweetheart. Warm, loving and funny with arms wide open and a heart of pure gold. Since moving to Havensdale, Hallie quickly become a key part of the community. She wouldn’t turn away anyone. Her sweet, Southern hospitality doesn’t mean that she doesn’t know how to stand up for herself, though. Hallie is fearless and there isn’t anything she wouldn’t do for her family.

Now, here’s the thing. Hallie knows that her husband is a werewolf and she knows this town is a safe place for the supernatural–something that never bothered her; Why would it? Then, some time ago, Michael Bennett (Ricky’s brother) happened. Michael attacked Hallie, leaving her with the scars as a warning. Ricky has been terrified ever since that something worse might happen.

Hallie isn’t scared of a fight and she’s not running anywhere. They’re going to continue to live their damn lives, and that includes going to the Montgomery frickin’ Winter Ball!

Xavier was laser focused on the soil sample he had scraped into the vial, staring at it like it held a world of answers. It was from the grounds of the school, where... Well, he knew where. Jason took one look at the soil samples Xavier was collecting and suddenly felt like his own samples in his pockets were ten times heavier. It wasn't like Jason was hiding his research, but he also didn't want to take his information about a crazy, mystical tree to anyone important until he knew he had something valuable. He wasn't sure what Xavier was doing with the dirt, but surely it wasn't anything to do with the tree, right? Not when he was messing with samples at the school. "Are you... looking for magic traces in soil? Ooh, wait! Do you think something magic happened here? With the implosion?"

"Yeah, you keep walking," she growled under her breath. Hailie stared such severe daggers into their back, she was shocked they didn't die on the spot. She let out a little huff once they were gone. Maybe she'd been looking for a fight... She didn't know. Sneaking a look over at Jason, she rolled her eyes (affectionately). "Do you think you'll be returning from that book anytime this year?"

At those words, Jason did look up, smiling teasingly. "Why? Does academia upset you?" In this new Havensdale, he was so incredibly grateful that he still had Hailie and Claire. It was becoming harder to tell what side people were on and, after everything that happened with Dexter, it was clear that things could change in a heartbeat. "I just know I'm on to something, Hailie." His tone turned more serious as his eyes once again returned to the book. "Maybe if I can figure out what their actual goal is-..." He could fix everything. He could stop them. Maybe he could even find a way to bring Dexter back. Jason simply couldn't accept that this was their lives now.

Gosh, Jason Bennett. Wow. She could remember serving him coffee, having to sub half the shots for decaf to keep him from bouncing off the walls of the shop. It really was a lifetime ago, a memory of a time that she desperately wished they could all return to. Still, she couldn't help but smile as she thought about it. As he spoke, though, she felt herself jolted back to the present, to reality.

"Oh, right. Curfew." She knew there were others in Frederick's pack who took advantage of the minute that curfew started, who enjoyed causing mayhem. "No. I'm just walking. Didn't mean to bother anyone."

Jason didn't miss that she smiled, but his eyes narrowed a fraction. He wasn't sure if she was smiling because she was happy to see him, or if there was something twisted behind it. The past three years had really taken a toll on Jason. In the past, he would have happily started up a conversation with anyone and everyone, but now he didn't know who to trust. Acquaintances were now killing or turning innocent humans and old friends were being manipulative and mean. This wasn't the Havensdale that Jason loved, and he hated it. "Right. You'll forgive me if I remain sceptical." Looking around them, he added. "Walking alone?"

"I'll be back in a bit." She went walking most evenings, and tonight was no different. Anything to clear her head, to attempt to forget. She needed to forget. Whoever had said that time healed all wounds was a liar. "No need to wait for me."

Jason wasn't normally one to be out walking this close to curfew, at least not when he was off duty, but with his police car stuck at McCreery's with engine troubles, he had no option but to walk back to the home he still shared with his dad. Honestly, curfew didn't really worry him anyway. Jason had grown up in Havensdale and, by all accounts, he was one of the monsters humans needed protected from.

What he hadn't been expecting, though, was to see someone else out this late. He supposed it really shouldn't have been a surprise to see someone from their side. "Counting the minutes until curfew?"

So What Happened?  

Jason Bennett was just living life, you know? Grappling with his own supernatural identity and the curse it brought with it. Never truly feeling safe from his Boogeyman uncle, who was prowling around the parameters of his life. Yeah, big, fun times.

Crashing Hailie and Dexter’s super romantic ride to prom was how it needed to be! Mainly because, you know, he couldn’t go with the one person in the whole of Havensdale he really wanted to go with. Jason’s been head over heels for Maddie Hannigan since they first locked eyes. He never meant to mess her around, playing hot and cold at every turn, he just wanted to keep her safe. Alive.

But damn it all, she was so beautiful that night that he had to ask her to dance... It was probably the best night of his life (at the time). Even the after party was pretty cool and for the first time in forever, Jason managed to relax. They all say that they never saw it coming, but Jason knew that something big was gonna happen. Something bad.

Jason had been investigating the weird shit that had been happening in Havensdale for a while before The Dome came down. If one thing had become clear to Jason, it was this one old ass tree was the key to everything. Or at least something! Jason started interning with his dad, doing what they could to keep Havensdale safe while he continued his own investigations.

Needless to say that Jason is following in his dad’s footsteps. He’s a broad shoulder to lean on, reliable and fiercely protective of his loved ones. Especially his now-official-girlfriend Maddie Hannigan. Jason is very high-strung and on alert all the time now, but who can blame him?

Jason was approached by Frederick Bellefonte with an offer of help with his uncle-- to put it politely, Jason refused. What he doesn’t know is that Sheriff Bennett didn’t. He made that deal with Frederick to ensure his murderous, good for nothing, sonuvabitch brother never stepped foot in Havensdale again...
