[ID: A Chainsaw Man quote-retweet. @veenus says, "someone needs to save denji and it's not going to be asa sorry". This has been retweeted with a comic that starts on Denji sobbing, "I'm sorryyyy... Hic. I'm sorry!!"" Asa/Yoru snaps, "Shut up, someone is here!" and Denji sits up, yelling in shock, "Huh? Greatest psychic of the 21st century Reigen Arataka." Reigen waves a finger through the air and says, "Denji, blaming yourself for a trauma response may make you feel like you're in control, but it's just breeding needless guilt for actions beyond your responsibility that are actually on the heads of your unfit adult caretakers." Howdy Shroomlings! I learned recently that a certain someone i know likes to CHEW HER ESTROGEN PILLS! Like is that not wild? Oh well, we still love her. And yes Rosalina is now trans because I SAY SO! Fight me about it!
Aight y'all, I love ya and you better be good or no lesbians for a month!
Several people have pointed out that in many countries outside the U.S., dates are written day/month rather than month/day, which would make Meat Day actually September 2nd. To which I would like to say:
1. In Japan it’s month/day, so February 9th would technically be the correct date
2. That being said… two Meat Days
wish literally any gay papers would talk about lil nas x cause every article is either written with contempt OR makes sweeping assumptions by only quoting the cops and blatantly lies about things they contradict in their own article. like how is there no coverage of support or efforts to keep an eye on his location?
shortest possible story is that he he got arrested and hospitalized after walking around outside at night, MAYBE having 'an episode', MAYBE he was drunk, maybe he was high, maybe he was just being loud, who knows. Dude was outside at night in boxers and cowboy boots and that's all he did to "invite" police interaction.
But cops claimed he assaulted them so he gets arrested. Then goes to the hospital. Then goes back into custody.
And then he's not heard of for a while, then days later says he's out and okay. But facing FELONY charges!
WHERE IS EVERYONE? Pinknews cunts? Them? OutMag? Hello??
"naked" he was in underwear and boots. "assaulted" but most papers say he "charged at" the cops, while others claim he punched a cop, yet nothing conclusive out. Some papers speculate mental health concerns but nothing is beyond speculation. "drug use" accusations are being taken at face value EXCEPT by TeenVogue quoting Reuters:
The artist has been charged with four felony counts after an incident involving police.
Reuters reports that police said they suspected the artist was using drugs when he was arrested, and a judge mandated he attend an outpatient drug rehabilitation program as a condition of his release from jail. Lil Nas X's lawyer, Christy O'Connor, told the judge that there was no evidence of drug use, per Reuters, calling the incident an aberration “in an otherwise productive life.”
From the linked Reuters article:
He was accused of assaulting the officers who were trying to take him into custody, injuring three of them.
Damn, didn't know he was a skinny ass John Wick. It's almost like the most sensationalized lies about a situation being told by COPS are being reprinted as truth despite apparently zero evidence, testing, or accounts besides from the cops who assaulted him, and EVERYONE is treating this like some moral failing from Lil Nas X or a joke, and not a traumatic brutalization on a person that presented no danger to anyone.
Fuck the cops and fuck each racist and homophobic paper for their drivel, INCLUDING queer papers backtracking on their support.
It's crazy how many people use Death of the Author to mean "separating the art from the artist" when it's actually not supposed to have anything to do with who the author is as a person and is supposed to be about the idea that the author's interpretation of their own work should not be seen as the definitive, correct opinion on that work. Like you're not supposed to invoke Death of the Author when JK Rowling devotes her entire life and fortune to transphobia, you're supposed to invoke it when Trent Reznor says Closer by Nine Inch Nails isn't a sex song.
