Ulta's Little Black Liner Haul set is a 10/10 for me. I love the cat eye stamp for making the wings even, lol. Do note, folks, I applied this while not wearing my glasses/contacts in full 20/100ish vision and had it look not disastrous. You can't go wrong with this set either. The "glitter tears" tube wasn't my favorite, but the gel liner pot and pencil, felt tip and cat eye stamps worked and lasted well. I didn't try their eyeliner brush but it looks middle-of-the-road and like it will get the job done for medium to thick liner application. Hello friendship! Just wanted to share some cosphotos. This past spring I watched Ice Fantasy on Netflix and decided Ka Suo's first outfit simply had to be made. I loved Yan Da's amazing eyeliner and eye makeup also. Most of the mains had awesome costumes and backstories, even the Ice Sibs that got nuked early on looked cool with their armors. However, had to pick 1 to start with so, I chose Ka Suo.

The costume took about 6 months to complete around work and varying amounts of procrastination but I am thoroughly pleased with how it turned out. I also worked with different fabrics than I normally do and had fun trying to contain shedding etc. However, in person the fabric choices were about as screen acurate as I could get being on this side of the pond. Hard work paid off at the craftsmanship competition as well - I won Best of Weekend and was so surprised! (Sorry, I shooped over my real name on the certificate for privacy reasons and they made a tiny mistake in spelling my name, but it's all good though!)

I booked a shoot with Don Dolce Photography and was super pleased with the process of shooting with him. In hindsight, I do wish I had a handler with me as this costume a lot to manage e.g. you have no idea how many times the long wig got stuck on the shoulder icicles etc. and there's no way Feng Shaofeng did anything in such a costume without a bunch of handlers to fix everything every time he moved.So much hair, so many things going on with this costume.

Anyway, I really like Don Dolce Photography's style, the finished products look great, and turnaround was a little over 2 weeks. I got my photos back before he posted an advert for shoots he will do at his next convention! This is such a huge deal as so many photographers just shoot and book more shoots at their next convention and this all feeds into the endless loop of long turnarounds if you get photos at all etc. Definitely recommend working with him, he's great to shoot with and you actually get a good number of photos that you paid for, not just 1 back. A+++++

Will definitely be ready for winter and want to shoot with this costume in the snow and possibly go to the ice castle for extra nerding. Maybe this requires a trip to Quebec City for the festival, Hmm!!!

As special effects budgets continue to grow, the architectural wonders that TV, film and video game producers create seem to get more and more impressive.

From the castles of Westeros to the imaginative, colorful designs of Studio Ghibli, they compiled some of the most iconic and interesting architectural feats that they feel best represent six of their favorite fictional universes. *HORRIBLE SCREAMS* OMG GUYS - 6 years after Last Exile: FAM began its broadcast, we have this gorgeous figure of Dio made by Alter set to be released around November 30, 2018. It's probably old news to some, and not surprising because I've specifically been trying to avoid buying figures, but Dio is a special case. I never expected them to go back in time and make this figure. And because I'm late to the game, looks like HobbyLinkJapan has the best price of places still taking preorders.

Hey friends! I would like to share my review of House of Lashes, a great place to get false eyelashes and accessories! I placed an order 1/11, it shipped the next day and arrived 7 calendar days later on 1/19. I used the free shipping option (on purchases of $25+) which is UPS Surepost where UPS moves the package to your local post office and the post office delivers. Shipping-wise, as you can see, they use plain, sturdy cardboard boxes (for my order at least). The interior has a cute printed theme and there is padding underneath the products. This was obviously packed with care. Materials appear to be completely recyclable (even including the Storage Case I bought!) I don't know how others feel, but I love it when companies make it easy to recycle! What I bought: 1.) The Lash Story Pro storage case: Nice quality. It can store 22 pairs of lashes and 2 tubes of their adhesive. Other brands may work too, but the spaces are designed for their brand adhesive. The case itself is, as I mentioned, recyclable and is a rigid paper material with padded covers, but the entire thing is durable. The interior storage trays are plastic. It measures approximately 8.25" x 8.5" x 1.37". There is a smaller case if you don't want one this size and there are tiny cases for 2-3 pairs as well. I love that you can store all your lashes in this case and they are easy to see and choose which pair you want. I also saved some of the original storage cases for the times I just have 1 pair of lashes needed and I don't want the entire case. 2.) Lashes: Boudoir and Bohemian Princess lashes: I have not tested these out yet, but FYI they are thicker band lashes which I find easier to apply and wear all day. The fiber quality is high and these don't look "plasticy". They also have a Tinkerbell line on the site with really nice designs too, but overall, I love the variety of lashes they offer and prices ARE going to be more than drug store, but they also appear to be made sturdier. I was looking for replacements similar to my Missha "Professional" lashes which sadly were discontinued and I think these are suitable substitutions. OVERALL IMPRESSION: LOVE THIS PLACE! The site layout is easy to navigate and what I ADORE about this company is that they have photos of several models with different eye shapes and skin tones wearing the lashes to give you an idea of how they look when worn. How many places do this?! Not enough, is the answer. No one can complain about a 1 day turnaround and shipping was fast enough for being "FREE". Their new customer discount is WELCOME10 and gets you 10% off, which is a nice bonus (hint: you too can use that code). Cheers! - Ion P.S. Some photos from my shoot at Anime USA 2016 with my Dio costume. I thought it might be too warm to create 2 costumes (overgarment and flight suit) but it wasn't too uncomfortable to wear.

Construction details: Nothing like a time crunch! I spent so much time working on the detailed flightsuit underneath that I really had to go into berserker mode to finish the robe! Sadly, since transformative clothing is pretty much science fiction, there was no way around making 2 separate costumes to get the full effect. Oh well, it was worth all the hours invested.

I definitely had to make mockups for both the flight suit and robe due to all the color blocking and the fact that the flight suit is so form-fitting and the robe needs to fit well overtop! Over all, I would say this is one of the most deceptively challenging costumes I have made yet. It looked so easy on paper. This was also one of those nice moments where you remake a costume you scrapped years ago and can rise above the challenge and take it to completion. Back in the days of season 1 being new, I attempted to make only the flight suit and it was horrible. As old and obscure as the series is, I am so glad I was able to complete his season 2 costume to my liking. Also, season 1's cloaks (the giant pants) always made me laugh to the point I could never make them so it had to be season 2 version for the robe

Materials: White sateen, gold vinyl, black vinyl, white vinyl, satin, purple iDye on the tassels and cord, foamies, thermal conductive vinyl, etc.

Wig: Bought a long silver wig off of eBay. It was thinner than I preferred so I purchased silver wefts from Epic Cosplay and bulked out the wig. The color match was perfect as was the fiber texture. I used scissors and a trimmer to handle styling the back and fringe of the wig.
