Further context: Durham city council (Reform UK) cut funding and support for Pride. The Durham Miner's Association and other trade unions raised enough money for Durham Pride 2026 to go ahead - a direct call back to when Lesbian and Gays Support the Miners (LGSM) raised money for mining communities when Margaret Thatcher seized union funding during the miner strikes of 1984-85.

At the 1985 Labour party meet, the motion to support LGBT rights as a party was passed due to a block vote from mining unions.

Stephen Guy, the chair of the Durham Miners’ Association, said that when it became apparent Durham Pride was under threat, he took it upon himself to “encourage the trade union movement to step up and do the right thing, and stand shoulder to shoulder with the LGBT+ community […] They not only raised funds for us, but came to our communities, uplifted our spirits when they were down, and showed their solidarity.”

this post isn't about the quest or pros and cons of who to pick for the throne, but rather about how many people claim that "reading The Masked Empire" showed them The Truth About Celene, despite seeming not to know what happened on the other 350 pages of The Masked Empire

this is because these people aren't interested in The Truth, but rather feeling justified in killing a female character they find unsympathetic - something the greater fandom would never tolerate for a male character in the exact same position

#used to go pads but praise the lord nearly 1 and a half years on birth control i have a period maybe every 3-4 months #that is nowhere near as heavy or debilitatingly painful as they used to be #i know i'm incredibly lucky the first option i was put on worked so well for me with minimal other symptoms

Thinking about Shadowheart gaining weight post BG3 because she’s never really ate enough before. She’s still got some muscle because she’s working around the farm but she’s eating sweets because she’s allowed to. Maybe her mother makes her food because it’s something she remembers how to do. Maybe her dad likes bringing her sweets from town because he never got to do it when she was a kid.

Anyway; need more cubby Shadowheart in my life.
