I'm joining you in no longer reading press. I just come away with feelings of... I don't want to say anger but I'm not the person to read anymore Cait press, I don't like how she comes across and I find I like her less and less the more she talks. In fact I don't think I'm a fan any longer and that's weird to say. It's just all so superficial and phony. None of it is authentic.
I'm still a fan. But it's ironic that to stay a fan I had to stop listening to the promo that they want me to see. I find the narrative exhausting. That relationship has no depth. It's the same old half dozen or so talking points, the same old Grant Wood inspired poses, while the only thing that changes is the maestro's profession. You nailed it when you said that none of it is authentic and that is key for me, because I still think that if Cait were allowed to be herself, without the obligatory speech and without the fear of saying the wrong thing, I'd like her.

Starting to think ol' Gareth is a bit one note when it comes to hair. Cait in another slicked back bun for what I assume is yet another premiere (Santa Barbara). Someone named hair by Adir did the beautiful hair down deep part and she looked the best she has during all this. On a different note I think the phrase is absence of normal or something similar and I think that Sam's decision to not like, retweet, IG etc anything Cait related is that abscence. I'm not talking what is happening in private since I wouldn't know, but for public consumption I think its interesting that he's checked out. It's funny she's engaged him multiple times, including just minutes ago and its crickets from him.
I don't recall TV stars doing movies where their TV co-stars were all over the promo the way SC used to be. But I think they are going overboard (as they always do) this time trying to show they aren't paying attention to each other.
Absence of the normal, presence of the abnormal. You could take out a billboard with that phrase with these two. Of course if we did, they would just make adjustments...

I think people are losing th point some are trying to make. We know it’s promo. If “journalists”want to congratulate cait- great. Do it. It’s exciting when a baby is born. It should just have no correlation to her part in Belfast. It’s become so annoying the the oh so private caits personal life becomes her talking points at every promo.
Thankyou. Yes. The same thing happened when she got ‘engaged’ and ‘married’. Lots of celebs have civilian partners that don’t get mentioned in promo and children in real life without us hearing a joke about when they were conceived. It’s not necessarily this particular interview that makes it annoying. It’s cumulative. We’re sick of it. We don’t care. They might as well preface each interview with a statement saying that she’s not in a relationship with her Outlander costar. She chose Mr Bean and a copy of last years ovulation cycles vs Sam Heughan’s travel schedule is available on request to prove it.

There’s actually a real person saying caits pregnant? Or just another fan?
There is a screenshot circulating of a sm conversation where someone named Jodie claims that the reason the season was cut short is because Cait is pregnant and starting to show. She knows this because her partner works at the studio building sets. So either Cait shares with random crew members things that she has sold her soul trying to keep private, or there’s a telephone game that has filtered this story down as far as the carpenters on staff, or Jodie is a liar. And I can hardly type this for the ache in my eye sockets.
How do you feel about the news that Season 6 had to be cut short because Cait is pregnant and starting to show? This time there's first hand proof.

Frustrated, embarrassed, amazed...not at Cait. At this stupid fandom. First, that's not first hand proof. That's a social media post that could have come from anywhere. And if it's real? Good luck to this Jodie person in her search for a new partner, since she just trashed any trust the last one might have placed in her, and good luck to him in his search for a new job. Second, one pregnancy is not a reason to shut down production on a show of this size and throw all of these people out of work again. Third, does no one think that maybe this has been a hell of a season to film due to the little matter of the global pandemic that would have made it a pain in the ass and meant more expense all around? Shortening 6 and making it up next season when we are hopefully back to mostly normal makes perfect sense
I think there is an argument to be made that while they haven't said they aren't going to start shooting in 2021 they haven't said they will either. But it really could be a thing where they split it like they did season 1. According to Sam, these 8 eps air in Feb. If S7 was filmed(ing) would they start airing it later fall 2022? We have a lot of questions but not a lot of answers.
It has to do with the way Matt worded his comment in EW which could be interpreted either way (or else the way the EW editor printed it). However, the Outlander_Starz twitter lead tweeted S7 production begins in 2022 when they tweeted the EW article. My guess is that is their interpretation of Matt's comment in that article. Matt retweeted it.
