Hiya!! I wanted to ask, what original characters/stories have you worked on recently? Iāve seen some of your ocs before and I think theyāre hella cool!! :D
Hai!! And thank you omg!! Iām so grateful to get an ask like this and so grateful to really anyone else who is interested. I usually just let ideas develop in my head and hardly talk about it, so this really encourages me ^^ (also WARNING this might be a long post..)
I have quite a few pieces/sketches of my creepypasta story already but to officially state the premiseā¦The Circus of Gossamer Great and Annie Lee is my take on a lost kids show creepypasta(wow so original! š).
A woman sees a found episode of a long lost kids show and is disturbed to find herself in it. She has absolutely no memory of the series, nor her own involvement, and so joins the search for answers.(Spoliers! Thereās monsters down memory lane!)
To note, this story is not just a concept with characters; it will have an ending(unlike most of my stories). I imagine it properly told as a r/nosleep entry more than a creepypasta tale because it would have multiple parts, but, in reality, Im not a writer! But I do see myself as a storyteller, and so Iāll eventually decide how I want to go about this one. Though the specific events are not so solidified, the main theme Iām exploring is nostalgia(ofc) but also the sadness that comes with it. Iām currently in a very new place in my life, and thats probably where a lot of these sentimental feelings are coming from. (Doesnāt help that Iām actually watching a lot of 80s childrenās programs with my nieces lol) And, though these ideas arenāt exactly novel, I am very dedicated to making something sincere. The main problem I see with kid shows/lost episode creepypastas is the emphasis of āoh its this thing you like but DARK AND SCARY,ā and often very in your face about it. I think eeriness and creep-factor is the underutilized tool of this genre, and, while TCGGAL has what are blatantly monsters, there is nothing wrong with the show itself. Memories tamper the perceived reality and distort it, and thats where I want the horror to come from š
Itās a fun challenge for me since the direction I want to go pulls inspiration from my own nightmares, unsurprisingly hard to articulate and depict.
Also some more recent sketches! I have my first drawing of Annie somewhere floating around and Im glad I can make such an improvement on itā¦(like wth was I doing š)
And thats all for the TCGGAL! Umm but i do have my other Oc story thats not creepypasta related
I dont have a name for it or anything, these guys are a completely indulgent interpersonal melodrama :D
An angel and demon are not just rivalsā¦theyāre romantic rivals! How fun(for me)! Maelorn(buff guy) is a recent addition that serves as fun side character to draw, but I do have pieces of Dominic and Valentina as very early posts on this blog. Theyāre not to my standards anymore so I wont highlight them here, but they exist! These two take up so much space in my high school sketchbooks, Im glad that Iāve stuck with them for this long(itās also crazy ive made zero progress with their story!) The girl theyāre fighting over isnāt even designed yet, so um, I might eventually circle back to that and add actual stakes.
Damn, I really need to make definitive decisions with my stories, I donāt have a lot to share when its all so work in progress :ā)
These arenāt all that i got in my head though! Thereās one last important Oc project that I wont talk about just yet; itās much bigger than these two but a lot of my work on it is pretty old. In the next few months, i should be drawing a lot more Oc content, so it will definitely be explored soon. Which is great cuz Im actually excited to develop it more.
Oh and theres also my unimportant Oc projects ^^
One thing to learn about me is that its hard to funnel my sudden strikes of inspiration into something Iām already working on, I often just end up making a new story and world(and then abandoning it on a whimā¦). So it is not an unusual sight for me to draw something that should have a fleshed out story but just doesnāt. Theres so many of them, so I wont list them all here, but worry not! Just like my important projects, these ideas will be explored in due time(probably in between creepypasta stuff).
Of course, like always, Iāll gladly answer questions(since idk if im explaining things properly). This goes for Ocs and my versions of creepypastas ofc! I already have some asks about Nina; I know people are very interested in her, so Iām gonna try to be more comfortable talking via text posts and discussing her character beyond doodles/sketches.
