If I were a billionaire I would absolutely tell my secretary to send wedding gifts to anyone who sent me an invite regardless of if I knew them, because- A. I know how expensive that nonsense is. B. I would be a billionaire and when else am I gonna do with that much money? Honestly… and C. I would totally make showing up at random weddings with crazy awesome gifts my new stress relief hobby. “Congratulations random strangers! I admire your daring and stratigic planning. Eddie smiled a bit to himself, even as he felt the Symbiote doing the equivalent of an eye roll. Both amused and a bit nauseated by the exchange. As soon as the call had ended, he got the expected earful from Venom on the matter. In the end though, the Symbiote relented, if for it’s own amusement… and an hour later they had thrown on some clothes and were out and headed to Fifth. The Symbiote nearly drew them towards a detour, hungry, craving New York’s criminals, but Eddie convinced it they could have something that evening if it was patient. Reaching the cafe finally, he spotted, as much to his surprise at her presence as his pleasure, the familiar attractive redhead waiting for him. Ignoring some of the looks he got from others, perhaps fans of hers given her celebrity, he approached her table and smiled back at her sheepishly. Taking his seat, if a bit awkwardly, leaning back in his chair, ignoring all the stares and meeting her eyes.

“Sorry if we’re late… not very good at this, and the other guy was giving me a hard time the whole way here. But it’s good to see you again.”

     She smiled as Eddie sat down at the table she’d grabbed, fingers stroking along her cup. There was something about seeing Eddie out in the sunlight that was... oddly satisfying. MJ couldn’t quite put her finger on it, but she liked it. Her free hand lifted to brush a lock of fiery hair behind her ear.

     “It’s good to see you, too, Eddie,” she said with a chuckle. “You have good timing, believe it or not, I just grabbed this table a couple minutes ago.”
