❝ Alright. What are you talking about? ❞
"Yes I am aware of how good I look in this dress."
Are you drunk? I didn't say anything about your dress.
Well he’s gone now, so, yes. Thank you for chasing him off.
You're welcome. I'm Jackson, by the way.
You're not hurt, right?
I wouldn’t be surprised if she tried.
Glad to know I’m not alone in that. I’m Rowan.
As soon as the doors lock, I don't think she would be able to walk in.
Not alone at all. And nice to meet you, I'm Jackson.
Oh — you’re right. Sorry, must be an off day for me. Here’s your coffee.
It's okay. That's not a problem.
I would give it to you, if I could. But I already paid for it.
The kiss lasted for much longer than Maxine thought it would and she felt an ache in her heart when it finally did end. Eyes still closed she lingered with her face mere inches from his. She felt like if she took the wrong breath he would find some reason to yell at her for it. Not like he really needed one though since she had started the kiss to begin with. That was probably reason enough. Finally after a few moments she found something to say. "I’m sorry for being rude to you," she breathed gently.
Feeling breathless after the kiss, Jackson took a look at Maxine's face. That was when he realized what he had done. This kiss shouldn't have happened. The shapeshifter didn't even know why it happened. She had kissed him and he kissed her back. It was an impulsive motion and he couldn't say that he didn't enjoy. It was actually the opposite and that bothered him a lot, because he knew that he couldn't have feelings for Maxine, right? He wasn't even attracted to her. Every time his heart would race was because Maxine was always annoying him. It coudn't be for anything else. He needed to desperately believe in that or he would go out of his freaking mind. Clearly confused with what had happened between them, Jackson only heard half of what Maxine's said as he dropped his hands from her waist, taking a step back. Shaking his head slowly, he seemed affected as he didn't even look at her. "I need to go. I'm sorry." Turning around, the shapeshifter left the party quickly.
"Oh please. Christmas carols suit anyone’s voice."
If I was you, I wouldn't be so sure.
Get a group of awful singers and tell them to sing a Christmas carol. You'll see what happens.

Max: I've been abused by my ex boyfriend, lied to by my parents for years and then betrayed by them. And that's only the beginning. I wish I was exaggerating. I never know who or what to believe anymore.
Max: Sorry for the outburst and I understand that. It's easier to joke with those people.
Max: I'll have to try some of those then. Peach tea sounds really exciting. Guess I'm missing out on the wide world of tea.
Jackson: Doesn't you think that was too personal for you to reveal to a complete stranger? It's okay. I just didn't expect it, to be honest.
Jackson: And yes, especialy because I don't trust easily.
Jackson: You should buy one of those collection of teas. I tried it one and it had a wide variety of tea. It was an interesting experience.
What makes you think I could ever get sick of you? We’re gonna do every stupid, cheesy thing this place has to offer by the way. You’re gonna get sick of me.
Oh no, Jac.
Stupid, maybe. But not cheesy, please. Have some pity for your friend.
I suppose that makes sense. I’m here to avoid my sister’s big party. I don’t really do well with parties.
At least you know that your sister won't find you here and force you to go there.
But I understood you. I'm not a big fan of parties either.
"I’ve been good, I’m going to College, and I major in foreign affairs. What about you?"
Foreign affairs? Now that's something I can see you doing.
I came back from Japan a year ago. I finished my master degree in architecture there, but I have been in and out of town. You know me, Pyro Hills is too small for me.
"Thanks, I try."
You're welcome. It was very impressive.
He was just leaving.
Are you sure?
"Come on, don’t be like that. I just need you to answer me some questions. For a survey."
Questions about what exactly?
"Can I help you?"
Of course. That coffee has my name on it.
"Please don’t touch me."
What is going on here?
"We can easily change that. A few cups of eggnog and you’ll be belting out Frosty the Snowman at the top of your lungs."
Oh no. Remember our conversation at the karaoke bar?
Let's hope you never hear me singing.
