He came back.
I'm new to your blog, so I don't know if someone has asked this before, do you have a link to the Christmas special episode? Sorry if you have answered this already lol.
There’s links in the comments here.
Happy New Year!
When a train derails and delays the arrival of much needed food, supplies and presents, Christmas in the settlement town of Hope Valley is in jeopardy. With the help of a mysterious visitor, a simple peddler who has a knack for helping people find what they need, Jack, Elizabeth and Abigail rally the town residents to come together in the true spirit of kindness and giving, proving that Christmas really is the season for miracles.
I started watching WCTH and noticed there are movies named after some of the episodes. Are they extended versions or completely different? I don't want to buy repeaters. Do you know the order in which they aired? Guides aren't listing all of them.
I think the movies you’re talking about that you can buy on Amazon or in stores are just the regular episodes sold one or two at a time--Hallmark doesn’t always package them all together like most other channels do, probably to make more money. You can actually buy complete seasons, just make sure that the packaging specifies that it is the “Complete Season” 1, 2, etc.
On Amazon it does look like you can buy “Year Two” or “Year Three,” which are actually just the TV specials, or longer episodes that are separate from the standard WCTH TV season. I don’t understand why they package them this way, it’s SUPER confusing.
You can also buy the complete TV season on Amazon Instant Download, which will give you all the episodes including the TV specials if you don’t mind not having a physical copy of the show.
I've recently started watching When Calls the Heart on Netflix and I'm a few episodes into season 2... is it just me or is kind of annoying that suddenly everyone's hair is styled very contemporarily??
Yeah, they definitely stopped paying attention to that historical detail. Which I didn’t really understand because does it take that much longer to style the women’s hair in particular with accurate hairstyles--which would be updos. In no setting out in public would they be wearing their hair down and in ringlets during this time period. And why are the women so obviously wearing makeup? They’re in the frontier.
But they continue with that through season 3, so I don’t see it changing. xx
Lee & Rosemary in season 2
jessm1234 replied to your post “Anyone have any thoughts they want to share about last night’s finale...”
I really loved the finale. I thought the pacing was good, without dragging out Jack's recovery too long. I'm also glad rosemary and lee got the focus on them for the end. I'm in the minority maybe saying this....but....I'm fine with no J proposal...I'd like some exploration of it, like J preparing/planning for it in Season 4. They could tell a whole episode about a proposal rather than tacking it on at the end. Not a popular thought, maybe, but still. Love this show and the characters!
I’m glad you enjoyed it!
My main problem was that Jack’s recovery was kind of glossed over, but I guess time was spent on other things in the episode. I really love Rosemary and Lee’s story as well, I think they’re good together! There wasn’t really room for Jack to propose with a wedding happening and him going through such a traumatic experience--definitely something to leave for another time and give more development to! I think they can definitely stand to explore Jack and Elizabeth’s relationship more in season 4 and help it to grow better, become more mature. It hasn’t really had a chance to do that, especially after season 2, so that’s something I’m looking forward to. :)
