I know that people prefer the classic and iconic Batgirl outfit, but the Burnsides outfit had ✨️vibes✨️

There's a disconnect between modern Babs and classic Babs, she seemingly gets younger as she ages, this was to connect to a younger female audience but it sort of alienated the original audience.

It culminated in Burnsides Batgirl, a woman in her mid 30s who hangs out with college kids and takes selfies. Unfortunately this is my type. (I choose to believe that this is just her regressing post killing joke PTSD)

I've been reading a LOT of DC lately, and it's evolved into a weird paternal feeling for the Fab Five/Original Teen Titans.

Most people prefer the NTT roster, with Starfire, Cyborg, Beast Boy and Raven, but these kids have my heart still.

I mean LOOK AT THEM, they're so precious I can't 💙

Standard bearer for my Gluttons, this guy would be at the front of the pack, marching forward with his trust Gnoblar lookout barking at those following him.

Tried a few new highlighting methods this time, and the addition of freehanding the banner and the challenge of the Gnoblar proved rewarding. I kept the basing simple this time, didn't want anything to draw focus from him.

OGRES OGRES MUNCHING ON MEATS!

The second of my Ogors is now finished, the leader of a pack of Gluttons, his name is Mantrap (I'm sure you can see why) and I love him.

Pretty much set on the skin recipe now, I should be able to consistently replicate this with ease, so my next model should be even quicker to complete. Still unsure on metallics as per usual, they just aren't my strength.

Very much a fan of the blood effects, both on his fist and his mouth, I'm going to make it a staple of my Ogors from now on.

P.S let me know if you can spot the consistency flaw with his pants...

Hey you 🫵 with the painting backlog!

This is your reminder to cheat! Cut corners. Slapchop paint. Hide tiny details with black paint shading. Prime it one color and drybrush it. Just put some paint on it!

There are so many amazing painters on the internet nowadays it can be intimidating and set hobbyists new and old to unrealistic painting standards.

Wargaming miniatures are tiny, and the quality and details keep getting tinier! I have painted so many small details none of my friends have EVER noticed, especially when playing on the tabletop. Not everyone is going to see the model from a zoomed in camera lens in bright light.

Paint as much as you're comfortable with, but do paint it! You will still feel proud to make your army YOUR army!

The Lord Exultant

Not my cleanest work, but I completed him in only one day, making him one of my proudest works.

I often spend days upon days on even the simplest of miniatures, making slow progress... with him I challenged myself to get it all done in one sitting. So while its slightly messy in spots (looking at you belt and face) the overall look is consistent enough for me.

P.S very happy with how that cape turned out

For a genestealer themed account, I should really show off some of my GSC, these are the first GSC models I ever painted, and mark a shift in my mini painting.

I started these guys after a 6 month break following a LOT of disappointing failed paint jobs for some Drukhari, it really put me off painting as a whole. And then I found...
