Fun fact : many many times I wrote stuff about An’ and him being friends it was the cutest shit ever and she broke the faces of every person mean to him while he was nice to her, bringing food and making her laugh. But then it always ended up really angsty because he had to leave and when he came back she was going out with Castiel.

Friendship started when she sticked with him because that gave her many opportunities to kick asses, the poor dude being a bullies-magnet.
She either picked his glasses up or she’s telling him he’s a strong good person who seriously needs to buy contacts or a more flattering pair of glasses.
Not all friendships are meant to last… Some fade away while others turn into bitterness, hatred and resentment.
I’d say they are both to blame, but not equally. He never ‘forgave’ her for being with Cast’ which is some really shitty misplaced jealousy. He acted like a little shit after military school, trying to prove his physical strength 24/7. He blamed her for him being seen by the others as “weak”.
As for her, she’s difficult to have arguments with, once she has decided you did something wrong (to her), you’re off. She is definitely not the most understanding. Also she’s intimidating and very independant, it makes people do stupid things when they feel threatened/neglected. It makes her push people away, for ever. She never regrets it but it’s not the happiest feeling ever. She misses him sometimes at 2 am and then she forgets about it again.
