Away from my day-job (I wish!) as a DJ, I’ve always been a fan of progressive rock, none more so than Yes. I’ve been into their music for 25 years +, and been fortunate to see them live 3 times. Steven C. Davis is a long distance walker who uses the inspiration of the mountains and the open countryside to plot increasingly complex storylines, determined to come up with something which surprises even himself.
A writer of dark fiction with both science fiction and fantasy elements but grounded in a reality recognisable to most, he is the creator/writer of ‘Cornix Sinistra’ and its conclusion, ‘Armageddon Angel’, both works of twisted apocalyptic fiction.
His most recent work, ‘The Heart’s Cog Imperative’, co-written with S. J. Stewart, uses elements of Victoriana to paint a colonial world, subjugated by an Empire not so dissimilar to the British Empire, but one which is far more malevolent.
He is the host of the GASP (Gothic, Alternative, Steampunk and Progressive) radio show, co-hosted by LM Cooke, which goes out on Thursday evenings between 8 and 11pm, through Blast 1386.
He organised and put together the ‘Raising Steam’ musical compilation of 22 tracks from 11 Steampunk and independent artists/bands, raising funds for New Futures Nepal.

Whilst not directly assisting in the recovery after the MASSIVE earthquake, they have a group of orphaned, disabled and disadvantaged children and adults whom they are supporting over there. This crisis is affecting those people hugely - although their home is safe, they are scared by the after-shocks and sleeping in tents. They are very afraid of what might happen.

Food is running out. Infection is on the rise. People in their neighbourhood have died. Schools have been cancelled. Roads leading back to their home villages have been destroyed. Some of them have family in the mountains, and they don’t know if their family are alive or dead.
