Every day brings its own battles and its own tests, but as believers, we remain patient. Allah reminds us in the Qur'an:

"Indeed, with hardship comes ease. Indeed, with hardship comes ease." [Surah Ash-Sharh 94 ; 5-6]

This world was never meant to be free from trials. We will be tested with our health, our wealth, our families, our children, and our livelihoods. These tests are not a sign that Allah ﷻ has abandoned us; they are opportunities to draw closer to Him and to raise our ranks.

Every pain we endure, every hardship we face, and every struggle we overcome is known to Allah. While we are being tested, we are also being gifted-with patience, with strength, with forgiveness of sins, and with rewards that only He knows.

Remain steadfast, trust in Allah's plan, and never lose hope.

Victory belongs to those who are patient, and every hardship carries with it the promise of ease. Alhamdulillah in every circumstance.

You’re rich

And you don’t even know it

You look at your bank account

& you’re just about making ends meet

- But you hear the laugh of your family

- ⁠You’re not in chronic pain

- ⁠You have access to knowledge

- ⁠Allah (SWT) has granted you guidance

- ⁠The roof over your head is not damaged

- ⁠You have sisterhood or brotherhood

- ⁠You can pick up the phone and call your mum

- ⁠Your father still makes dua for you

- ⁠You have eyes that can read the Quran

- ⁠Ears that can hear the Quran

- ⁠A tongue that can recite the Quran

- ⁠You don’t need to wonder where your next meal is coming from

You are rich.

You are so extremely rich

But you’re too busy focused on materialism

That you feel poor

And distant

And unfulfilled.

Here you are - those who argue on their behalf in this worldly life, but who will argue with Allah for them on the Day of Resurrection, or who will then be their representative ?

I am the first of those who fall short, but I love to be near You, ya Allāh, so do not deprive me of Your nearness.

The most beautiful feeling is wanting to pray out of longing for Allah, wanting to do it because Allah is deserving of your time, energy, efforts. Not just because you have a need for something other than His mercy. Just because you want to be there in front of Allah in mind, body and soul and praise Him, seek His mercy and blessings sincerely, with a heart full of embrace for whatever He sends your way whether it’s ease or difficulty.

He doesn't just fix what is hurting; He rewrites our story so that the healing is more definitive than the hurt.

“I ask Allah to make this journey of mine a source of help for me, not hardship; safety, not affliction; and a blessing, not a punishment. May He decree goodness for me wherever it may be, turn evil away from me wherever it may be, protect me from everything that may harm me, and grant me my goals and intentions completely and abundantly. Indeed, He is Most Generous and answers prayers.

Choose your mahram with care. Do not fall for looks or words alone; look at who their heart is connected to first: Allah. Love the one who lowers their gaze, guards their nafs, remembers Allah in private, and approaches you in a halal way with sabr and sincere du’a. Someone who fears hurting you because they fear Allah, and who brings you closer to Him, not away from Him. Because your mahram is not only for this dunya, but also your companion toward the akhirah. May Allah bless us with spouses who are a source of peace, imaan, and barakah in both dunya and akhirah. Ameen.

JOURNEY OF THE SOUL

Rasool Allah (saw) tells us in a long hadith about the story of the soul when it leaves the body. The trip that the soul takes. He says, When the believer is dying the angels come down with a coffin from Jannah and some scent from Jannah and they descend and they sit in front of that person and then the Angel of Death descends and tells the believer the happy and pleased with the promise of Allah swt for you. And then He calls the soul to come out He says, “O you soul in the state of tranquility, Come out to the pleasure that will be provided to you by Allah swt.” So Rasool Allah (saw) says that soul would come out so easily it is like a drop of water that is flowing down from a jug….like pouring a drop of water…it slides so easily out of the body. And as soon as the Angel of Death take that soul….All of the angels will jump..Everyone of them wants to take the honor of holding that soul and wrapping it in the coffin and they would carry it up in heavens. And Rasool Allah (saw) says whenever they would carry it next to a group of angels they would smell this beautiful scent and they would say, “Whose soul is this?” and the angels will tell them “this is the soul of so and so” and they would call him with his best names until they reach to the gates of the lowest heaven. And then they would seek permission, so the gates of that heaven will open up. And whenever this soul is being carried through the heaven, the angels of that heaven will accompany that soul to the next heaven. And the angels are surrounding this soul all the way up until it reaches to Allah swt. And Allah swt will deliver the promise of Jannah to that soul and then Allah swt will say, “Take that soul back to earth because that is where I have created them from and that is where they would return and that is where they would be resurrected from.” So the soul will then descend down with honor of Allah swt. And Rasool Allah (saw) tells us what happens with the soul of the non-believer or the evil-doer. Rasool Allah (saw) says, The angels come down with the coffin from Hell fire and they come next to him and the Angel of Death would stand next to him and say, “O You evil soul….Come out to the Punishment of Allah swt and his anger.” So that soul would disperse around his body and try to cling to every nerve  and muscle. It doesn’t want to leave. So the Angel of Death is pulling that soul out. Rasool Allah (saw) says the pain of that soul is like a Branch filled with thorns being pulled out of a wet ball of wool. Imagine pulling out a branch filled with thorns out of a wet ball of wool. It is tearing apart the nerves and muscles of that person. Pain and Agony of Death. And as soon as that soul comes out… All of the angels would jump and would wrap it up in the coffin from Hell fire and then they would carry it up. Rasool Allah (saw) says, it has a stinking rotten smell. And whenever this soul passes next to the angels they would start cursing it and they will say “Whose soul is this” So the angels would call him with his worst names. And then the angels would carry it up to the first heaven As-Samaa Ad-Dunya…the lowest heaven and they would seek permission, but the door of the heaven would not open. The doors of the heaven will not be open for them. Then Allah swt says, “Throw that soul to the lowest earth.” Throw that soul down to the lowest earth. Unlawlful love before marriage… Ibn al Qayyim al Jawziyyah (rahimahullah) mentions in regards to unlawful love before marriage (i.e. haram sexual relations, or love for someone who you are unable to marry). “And the cure for this deadly illness (i.e. unlawful love before marriage) is for the person that is afflicted to realise that this love is only due to his/her own delusions and ignorance. So upon such a person is to first and foremost strengthen their Tawheed and reliance upon Allah, and secondly to increase in worship and busy themselves with it, so much so that they do not have any spare time letting their minds wander and think about their beloved. And they should call upon Allah to protect them and save them from this evil, just as Prophet Yusuf called upon Allah and he was saved. And they should do as he did, be as he was, in terms of ikhlaas (sincerity) and remembering Allah in abundance. This is because if the heart is filled with ikhlaas for the sake of Allah, there will be no space left for any unlawful love to be present, rather this only happens to a heart that is empty and has no ikhlaas whatsoever. And let such people remind themselves that whatever Allah has decreed for them is only in their own best interests, and when Allah commands something it is never to cause harm or misery to His slaves. And let them also remind themselves that their unlawful love does not benefit them, neither in this world or the hereafter! As for this world then they will be so preoccupied with their love that it will cripple them and will cause them to live in a fantasy world. And as for the hereafter then it will cause them to be preoccupied with the love of the creation instead of love for the Creator! These people need to be reminded, that the one who is submerged in something will never see it’s ill effects, neither will the person who has never experienced such things. The only people who will be able to relate to them are those who have experienced the same thing but have been saved. Such people can look back and realise how evil it is.”

Discipline isn’t fancy or cute. It’s not aesthetic. It’s you crumbling down your nafs whenever it tries to overcome you. It’s you walking away from your temptations when you feel the intense urge to do it. It’s you still showing up with zero motivation. It’s you choosing the pleasure of Allaah over your impulses and fleeting feelings. It’s you striving according to your goal and not according to your mood!

Marriage is ستر

What ستر means is cover. Marriage is meant to conceal, cover, and protect you from the outside world. It’s meant to protect your heart, your soul, your body from falling into the traps of Shaytan. Marriage is so much more than love its Mercy, Kindness, Compassion. Its Understanding, Patience, Gratitude. Marriage is not about Love, it’s about building a family, protecting communities. Muhammad Ali: "No, I have One bodyguard. He has no eyes though He sees. He has no ears though He hears. He remembers everything with the aid of mind and memory. When He wishes to create a thing, He just orders it to be and it comes into existence, but this order does not convey the words which takes the tongue to form like our sound carries ears. He hears the secrets of those on the quite thoughts. He stops those whom, whose that? That’s God Allah. He’s my bodyguard. He’s your bodyguard. He’s the Supreme, The Wise.”

Ya Allah, protect my father, my mother, my sibling(s), and myself from every hardship that weakens the heart and exhausts the soul. Satisfy our lives with peace, mercy, health, rizq, and barakah. Keep us safe from pain we cannot bear, from anxiety, sadness, illness, and every hidden evil. Strengthen us during difficult times, bring ease after every struggle, and never let us feel alone in this dunya. Grant our hearts patience, comfort, and closeness to You. Aameen.

Ya Rabb, where do I turn when I seek a companion to confide in, yet find no soul who truly understands me?

All knowledge belongs to You, and every human heart is limited in what it can comprehend.

Help me release my expectations from Your creation, and anchor my heart only in You, where true serenity is found.
