Custom movesets came as a shock to many when it was announced, and people have been excited ever since its reveal. It’s been a topic of constant speculation and starry-eyed wonder. The available moves have been leaked here and there between the Direct, trailers, and PotD’s. But there’s still a plethora of moves we’ve yet to uncover. The official site has an article about customization options, as well as details on deeper aspects of it such as equipment. In it it says, “Mii Fighters and Palutena don’t have spin-off variations, but rather completely unique types of attacks.” From that specification, one would assume that only they have this privilege and the rest of the characters have these spin-off variations. It’s not completely silly to make that conclusion. Outside of Mario we’ve seen Ice Breath from Kriby, a Gust Punch from DK, Fireballs from Bowser, among others that all appear very much like spin-off moves. They retain similarities to their parent specials. But I’m starting to think that’s not the case.
