A World Unbiased I’ve seen and experienced many changes over the course of my life. Some for better while others for worse. Some were beyond my control while most were from my own hand. I’ve felt the fear of the unknown and worried about the future. These are normal things we as humans go through. We all begin our journey through life as innocent children. We have no preconceived ideas of how anything works. We are truly unbiased. As we go through life we meet other humans who look like us and experience this world just like we do. It doesn’t matter what genetics we each posses because we still are able to see each other’s inherent value. What changes us and morphs our beliefs into a state that tears down and devalues our fellow humans? Why do we choose not to hear the cries of pain and suffering amongst us? I’m sick of seeing all the hate and confusion amongst us. Why is it shocking when one of our own turns to a life fluent in crime? Families broken from our own governing structure leaves a void in the lives of the younger generation. A void that naturally is filled with a life mentor we call a “Parent.” Now is a position that demands to be filled. Unfortunately this usually defaults to a life of corruption. How about our counterpart who births our younger generation and is naturally inclined to oppose us? Opposition meant to encourage our inner growth to ensure equality in the relationship. Why do we not believe them when they cry out in pain and agony? It is inhuman to not care about or see the value in another. None of us are perfect and we all make mistakes but it is simply unacceptable to not listen to each other and take their perspective into consideration. That man that is involved in gang and drug violence probably had his dad taken from him at an early age by our prison system. That woman suffering medically for years despite her cries that land on the ears of deaf medical professionals now has to live in agony for life. Our race is incredibly intelligent yet so foolish. We praise corporations for making money yet we shame poverty stricken individuals for asking for table scraps from their governing authority. When we each help contribute with our individual strengths and realize we are all in this together that is when true community is born. It’s embarrassing to see the world in its current state. It’s downright unethical and immoral. When will we all finally let down our pride, beliefs, jealousy, and insecurities and work towards a world unbiased?
