A fellow human has informed me that trusting instinct is a wonderful technique in order to achieve fulfillment! I attempted to follow this path, but ceased upon realizing that this resulted in no actions being taken whatsoever, for instinct tells me that my extremely necessary assignments are “scary and bad”.

I’m a waiter. This is a running list of reasons customers didn’t tip me:

They didn’t like their food, which I did not cook

They don’t agree with US tipping culture (we are not even in the US, we are in Alaska)

It wasn’t warm enough in the restaurant, even though it was 15°F (-9.4°C) outside and we had the heat on

I “wasn’t even their server”

I would not change the TV to Nickelodeon for their kid (it was Spongebob; that is very inappropriate for kids and adults)

They wanted me to bring them the exact food they wanted from the menu, which I guess I was supposed to magically know
