"None of the Above” expresses the simple but complicated love. I think we all can feel sympathize with this unrequited-love-song.

In this song, main character is falling in one-way love with somebody and can't rule out the possibility that he/she will love him/her back.

Eric sings “Am I ever gonna be enough? Are you ever gonna fall in love? Or is it none of the above?”, in the chorus part.

And in the end of this song, he sings like this:  “Don’t say none of the above.”

Yes, we needn’t despair over the love. As long as there’s possibilities.
