I’m sorry. It’s been too long ㅜㅜㅜㅜㅜㅜㅜ
As you know, I was very busy from the shooting of <Drinking Solo>, concert preparation and album preparation.
Anyways, I’m back!
Today I’m going to talk something a little different from what I’ve talked so far.
Many people already know that I have interest in fashion but I don’t think you would know that I actually do the directing of stage outfits (It’s concert outfits, not outfits for broadcast shows)!
Today I’m going to show a portion of the preparation process of the outfits of the concert that took place not long ago.
First, I have several meetings with the director (we call him that but Sim Jaewon-nim) about the order of the songs, settings for the lights, outfits and the general concept and mood of the concert! I basically lived at the SUM cafe for a while.
Then I plan various concepts in my head. Then I find designers who will suit it. I’m going to show the collaboration process with the two designers a little today.
First of all, it’s a brand called Charms! I thought it would suit well with SHINee because it’s a brand that’s pop and witty.
There are songs like ‘Black Hole’, ‘Odd Eye’, etc. that are cool and cute so we talked about ways to keep the middle way between the two extremes rather than clothes that are too witty.
We receive illustrations like this and discuss about the materials and decide which member would wear what (This is decided on first come first serve basis by sending this style to 5 members at the same time and whoever replies the quickest!). We change parts that needs change

Next is Kye Hanhee designer from a brand called KYE~
This is a concept that was actually shown at designer Kye Hanhee’s collection and I thought it would look cute if we could express that monster (?) or zombie into 5 members. So we made it by collecting the member’s opinion.

Then it was drawn by hand based on member’s opinion and we made the clothes after a digital process!
We also communicate the styling process like this too. The real styling turned out a little different but communication is done like this through displaying it in a diagram.

Then, based on my opinion (^^) of making use of the pictures by 'Bridge Ship House’ illustrator, we picked out the members from a picture like this and expressed it in outfits~
As a result, a meaning work like this has been done!
I am planning to do many fun projects in the future, so please look forward to it!
