[ID: The problem with the freest country in the world having a masked secret police force that directly serves the president of the United States kidnapping people and disappearing them in a web of for-profit prisons, or executing innocent people on the street with total impunity isn't that they're "untrained," as some politicians have suggested - it's that it exists at all."

Remigration is a far-right term that means the mass deportation of all nonwhite people.
The Office of Remigration was created about a year ago, but it has managed to stay out of the limelight ever since. It has not appeared in the State Department's social media feeds, and no mention of it can be found on the State Department's official website.
Apparently named after a racist, far-right scheme to expel minorities and immigrants, the office is responsible for processing payments possibly worth tens of millions of dollars to facilitate the deportation of immigrants to countries they may not even originally be from, Wired reported Wednesday.

Trump officials claim, falsely, that they are splitting up families for the children's benefit.
Unaccompanied minors taken into custody at the end of the Biden administration were held by the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) for about 37 days on average. Under the Trump administration, the average is about six months, and many children have been detained more than a year. “A majority of the kids in our facilities today have biological parents who want them home, and there’s no reason the government shouldn’t be releasing them,” says Jessica Richardson, an attorney whose nonprofit, The Door, works with detained kids in New York.
[ID: Some of you have forgotten that only 3 years ago you were perfectly capable of writing an essay, writing a eulogy, telling a bedtime story to a child, and it should worry you that powerful companies have convinced us we can't do things we've been doing for 5,000 years.
Whenever I read about men using AI to draft love notes for their wives, I feel a seething fury. That is something you could easily have done yourself, and it would have been a million times more meaningful. Technology is training us to be dependent and soulless.

And sell out America.
Despite Kushner’s insistence during the 2024 campaign that he would have little involvement in a second Trump term, he is once more at the center of almost every major geopolitical event. In the occupied Palestinian territories, he’s point man for what should supposedly emerge from the rubble—a “New Gaza” that promises to restore jobs, prosperity, and peace. He was dispatched to Moscow with special envoy Steve Witkoff to seek a diplomatic solution to Russia’s ongoing war against Ukraine. In January, he and Witkoff were appointed executive board members of Trump’s new Board of Peace, itself a breathtaking attempt to monetize foreign relations. The following month, Trump named Kushner his “special envoy for peace,” shortly before dispatching him and Witkoff to lead the administration’s disastrous negotiations with Iran. To each of these assignments, Kushner has brought a mind-boggling array of ethical conflicts. His financial entanglements span the globe, touching on the diplomatic hotspots where he is supposed to be negotiating on America’s behalf. He has made an art of cashing in on his foreign relationships, which, for those partners, are also paying off as never before.

The Trump administration plans to deport around 22 migrants, including two Iranian women seeking refuge, to the Central African Republic, a
According to attorney Sahar Jalili Pawelski, the two Iranian women slated for deportation have no criminal records and were previously granted protection from being returned to Iran. Advocates said the women were shocked when informed they could instead be sent to the Central African Republic, a country where they have no family, community ties, or support network.
The move comes as the Trump administration seeks to expand deportations to third countries when direct removals are blocked by court rulings or diplomatic obstacles.
ohhhh shit. target is recalling their up & up baby wipes (fragrance free & fresh cucumber scented) because they're contaminated with Burkholderia cepacia complex and Burkholderia gladioli, multiple people are reporting discoloration & infections. i just got a call about it cuz i had purchased those but i've already gone through them 😅 so no refund for me. but im fine. if you have these they're saying you need to immediately stop using them and bring them back to target for a full refund. this bacteria can cause life threatening infections in children/infants and people with compromises immune systems (ESPECIALLY cystic fibrosis!!) and i know lots of other chronically ill people follow me!!!!
Hold on i should've been more specific.
First: THIS RECALL IS NOT STATE SPECIFIC. IT IS NATIONWIDE.

If you use baby wipes go check them NOW. A lot of Burkholderia bugs are antibiotic resistant so infections can be really difficult to treat.

Maher expressed his displeasure with the joke, claiming it wasn’t funny, while Sykes pointed out that his reaction ironically proved the joke’s point.

The Evangelical Christians somehow managed to take a woman’s right to bodily autonomy and weaponize it, rather than support it in a loving and Christlike way. As my friend John Fugelsang writes in his essential book, Separation of Church and Hate, Jesus never once talks about abortion, although there are passages in the Bible that describe how to perform one to save a woman’s life. Neato, huh? Keep that in your back pocket the next time a self-avowed “Jesus follower” in the MAGA cult mentions the Bible in a discussion about an often life-saving medical procedure that’s literally no one’s business except the doctor’s and the patient’s.
