Never knew what a privilege it was to put my phone on DND every night until that privilege was gone.
affirmations:
- itâs fun to be awake & in an upright position
- consciousness is a gift
- i CAN do this anymore
ONCE AGAIN, CAN MEN HEAR. Can men hear all the noises they make. Why are they so NOISY. Be QUIETTTTTT

Iâm temporarily marooned in Saskatoon, SK, cause my emergency contact had an emergency. I, being a coastal elite, do not spend much time in the middle of the continent for any reason. It is true what they say about the people, everyone here is so friendly? Just the nicest? Lovely? But I do need every single stranger to stop talking to me. Please. Where I come from, politeness is minding your own business, no eye contact, no smile, no chit chat about the weather, no asking questions to a stranger while weâre riding four floors together in an elevator. At a hospital. Please.
Life hack: put dry eye ointment in your eyes as soon as you get to work. You canât see much for like 20 minutes but your eyes will no longer feel like a dirty sandbox.
Thereâs something wonderful about the late light in June. Itâs an integral part of summer, that where I live it stays light out until 10 pm. Imagine my dismay when I discovered that in âsummeryâ climes like Southern California or Hawaii that the sun sets before dinner every day, and just kind of falls straight down with little fanfare. What do you mean, they donât know that summer is actually sitting on the beach watching the sun head towards the sea for an hour? That any cloud gets painted orange and pink and purple and blue slow enough to appreciate? In many ways, my latitude is the April 25th of latitudes: not dark too early, not light too late, what you can get is a perfect nightâs sleep year-round.
daddy wants to see yall on yall baddest behavior. lend me some sugar. I AM your neighbor.
I genuinely cannot tell if this is supposed to be a horny post or House of Leaves inspo. Great job, op.
secret third option actually. now, don't have me break this thing down for nothing
Iâve been insecure about taking too long to do work tasks for many yearsâI am quite careful and deliberate, especially when learning new skills, and I always feel like people are waiting on me. Yesterday I got hired onto a show explicitly because someone else is too slow and they need someone faster.
Nobody warned me that almost every single day of adulthood I would be contacted by someone with whom I do not want any contact. If itâs not a spam email, then itâs a spam call. If itâs not a text from a former coworker determined to keep the relationship alive in hopes I will get them future employment, then itâs constant mailouts from my MLA. If itâs not junk mail about towers being debated about in my neighbourhood, itâs emails from former clients in which they refuse to specify compensation for a longer contract they want me to accept. If itâs not weirdly invasive emails from investment management platforms, itâs my neighbour lying in wait outside to ambush me for small talk when Iâm just trying to take out the recycling. If itâs not in memoriam notices from the film union, itâs reply-all emails from one neighbour to the whole building requesting a new parking fob.
Itâs totally normal to cry about the moon as much as I have in the past few days, right?
