Ouyang just loves needling Li Ming and this time, Li Ming is the one who makes a move. I guess this confirms their feelings are mutual (as if it wasn't very obvious from Li Ming's side already).

I wish we had more closure with this couple. I understand we get scraps because they're the 2nd cp, but I wish they could have put in a scene or even a line where Ouyang confirms that his feelings go beyond being horny and gives Li Ming some assurances. I'm honestly feeling a bit bad for the love sick puppy never getting his bone.

For a character that gets slutshamed nonstop by everyone around him (and sometimes even the narrative), dean is a relatively chaste character in comparison with the rest of the cast, as summarized thusly:

Dean: Canonically has only slept with Jack (and, no, unless they changed something very significant between the novelization and the final release, Dean did not cheat on Jack), kinda flirted with Sand, and almost kissed Arnold, used to do non-sexual escort work

Jack: Has slept with Dean, has implied he has slept with others since the break-up, is stringing Raffy along (not relevant, but I believe that being friends with both Boston and Top pre-original Only Friends is the biggest red flag in the entire cast)

Raffy: Actively chasing Jack while keeping Rome as a friends-with-benefits situationship, has flirted with Boston

Rome: Implied to sleep around, as seen by the number of people we've seen him pull off the dance floor, has a friends-with-benefits situationship with Raffy, flirted with Pete for a bit, but that went nowhere

Arnold: Has been with Tua pre- and post- them getting together, stringing Tua along for a bit, has flirted with Boston, had kinda-feelings for Dean and almost kissed him

Tua: Has slept with both Boston and Arnold, though with both, it was under the assumption that this marked the start of a relationship

I could be missing stuff, but Dean is the one with the least implied relationships, and yet both the characters and the fandom treat him like the second coming of Top. If this show were good, you could get some interesting commentary about the stigmatization of sex work, but...

I will add, there would be no problem with each character having varied levels of sexual activity and viewpoints on when and when not to have sex with someone. Non-standardized views of romance and sexual relationships is what made the original Only Friends fun. However, unless the series starts doing more commentary on its characters for a deeper thematic meaning, it's no fun to have literally all the characters treat Dean like he's a slut (which would be fine if he were, but it's not fine according to the characters) because he used to do less intensive escort work than a waitress at Hooters.

There's something very childlike in some of the ways Mix chooses to play Dean. Like when he's trying to explain himself to Jack, he bounces on his feet like a kid whose crying and can't express himself fast enough. Deep down Dean's a kid who had to grow up too fast.

Pete saw Raffy recording; Pete knows Raffy fucked with Dean the last time. Pete was dumb about the theft (I mean, REALLY?) but seemingly is smart about this?
