i havent been on tumblr in a year but my cat died today and im not doing good about it

#21 years old like god she was basically a kitten. struck down in her prime #she was a thief and always loved to steal food #she was mean and hated everyone she ever met #she used to wait for me to get up for work so she could sleep in my bed #she woke me up every day at 2am for 10 years demanding food or water or to be let outside #this year shes been affectionate and kind to me and my dog and it was so out of character but i loved every second of it #she was a diva and im gonna grieve her for the rest of my life #the vet said cats dont just live to 21 unless they are well loved and cared for and thanked us for caring for so long #and giving her the safety she needed to choose the day she went #she really had given up today like it was the worst morning of my life #woke up to find she had a seizure and pissed all over the bed and had no control of her back legs and couldnt move #i tried to help her walk to see if her legs were just numb and seeing her trying to drag herself along the floor will haunt me #my mum and i were swapping stories about her afterwards and it was like remember the times she scratched you as you walked upstairs #remember the time she stole dinner right out the pot so we had to order in takeaway #remember the time foxes frightened me and the dog and she came running to fight the foxes and help us get home #remember when our old dog died and she was so upset she kept going to hide in his fave places in the garden #remember the day i got her and my mum tried to surprise me w her and she was so small she hid under a pillow and i nearly sat on her #remember when she had kittens and was so against motherhood she started chucking them down the stairs so we had to raise them for her #she was a bitch of a cat but she was mine and im really sad

#imagine putting me through a whole month of unemployment stress only to decide to keep my job a week before the end date #everyone keeps being like yay thats happy news for you #and im fighting the urge to be like yea ive been stress crying myself to sleep and losing hair because of this! how fun it didnt matter!#unwmployment thought she had me but she didnt !

just decided to go for it and submit an application and see if she contacts me and then i immediately got a call from an unknown number and im such a dumbass i didnt answer

lmaoo the girl called back and i answered and she was like you know its the funniest thing i was given your name by a colleague and then i logged into work to see you already had applied

#looked up the number in their staff directory and its not her but its a colleague of hers #so maybe its not her handling the ad but its her colleague instead?#im gonna see if she emails and if not i will call her back later

I've been following your job stuff and I would encourage you to reach out to the lady. It's possible she added you because posting that listing made her think of you (you did say it matched your qualifications). She might've been hoping you would reach out if you saw her and were looking for something. What's the worst thing that happens if you reach out?

#i was supposed to have a job inyerview today but im gonna have to cancel cause i was kept up all night by foxes and feel like im dead #and the interview involves a presentation i havent even finished making so theres no way i can prep for it in time </3 #the job shes advertising is actually quite ideal for me like its the exact hours i need and in my city and everything #whereas everything else that comes up is full time which i cant do cause i have another job

#4 years ago i got my job through an agency and the woman in the agency was so sweet and helpful to me #and now she randomly added me on linkedin and i was like ????#very random cause we havent spoken since april 2020 #so i look up her agency and literally just today they have posted an ad for a new vacancy in my city in my field #and i meet every single requirement #so now im like hmmmm should i contact her cause the timing is so intriguing #do i wait for her to contact me? but what if she doesnt..#hm #much to think about! and the way i just deleted her number too oh its sick like i thought i would never need her again #im losing my job in 2 weeks so i am running out of time

had my hr meeting and my boss and the hr woman were laughing and smiling and making jokes the whole time and im just there crying
