it’s okay to forgive yourself. you didn’t know any better. and even if you did, forgive yourself. we’re human. use it as a way to grow and move forward, don’t allow it to hold you back from healing

Thanks for the mention! And this is a great break-down/explanation.
Hey if you’re schizophrenic/psychotic I just want you to know that you’re a wonderful person and that you deserve so much better than the demonization, marginalization and stigmatization you face in this society.
Please consider reblogging this/other positivity posts for schizophrenic/psychotic people every once in a while. If you have more than 100 followers, odds are that a couple of them experiences psychosis and that they rarely see positivity posts for people with their symptoms.

i don't know what younger person needs to hear this, but it is so valid to not want to drink alcohol at all, or to only want to drink very rarely. don't let others pressure you into joining in with those societal rituals. it is an outrage how normalized drinking alcohol is, to the point that those who choose to abstain are constantly forced to justify their private choices, be publicly questioned about what led to these choices or excluded from activities altogether. you do not ever need to justify your reasons for this. there are absolutely valid and important reasons to not drink, and nobody has a right to know your personal reasonings.
Make sure when you set your New Years Resolutions or New Years Intentions that you center it around things you can control, that way you're not starting with a disadvantage when you set out in the new year.
Example:
"I want to lose 10kg." Not great because you can't directly control your weight. Instead try "I want to practice exercises I enjoy and eat more healthy foods." This is something you can control so you'll get less discouraged along the way.
I hope your 2023 is abundant with the determination and discipline for completing your goals! Happy New Year 💕
@ people who don't celebrate christmas and are currently having christmas shoved down their throats
i hope whatever holiday you celebrate is fun and well!! and if you don’t celebrate any holidays this time of year, i hope your day is nice anyways!

I know there's a lot of emphasis on family during this time, but if being around your blood relatives would threaten you in any way, don't do it. Absolutely put yourself first. Whether the threat is physical harm or emotional damage, Put. Yourself. First. There's nothing wrong with being alone on Christmas or whatever holiday they're celebrating.
Your relationship with food should be healthy for you. For example, a glass of milk every morning might help your friend stay healthy, but if you're lactose intolerant, it's going to cause you some problems. Remember to do what's best for YOUR body. It's carried you so far already, it deserves a compassionate thought from you every now and then. 💕
This is your daily reminder to not be ashamed of making your life easy for yourself.
Cut your food into small pieces, make the font size 30 on your e book, use straws to drink, get a pen that’s comfortable to hold, take more naps, walk slowly, eat another cookie, buy velcro shoes, re-watch the part you couldn’t understand the first time, write things on your hands so you don’t forget it… whatever you want and/or need
Don’t let anyone tell you how you should be doing things. We don’t need to prove each other anything

we are all “difficult” sometimes. that doesn’t make you a problem or a burden or an inconvenience. it makes you a human being with feelings.
