w the odyssey.. i think the thing with literary works in the literary canon is that because these works are so public, it’s inevitable that these works will be “bastardized” in the eyes of readers who want a full page-to-screen adaptation (not just w the odyssey but with all adapatations!) obviously people can have their own personal feelings towards the creative choices but many of these opinions can simply be answered with: “that’s not the film christopher nolan wants to make”
