it’d been a tough game, and an even tougher loss. no one liked to lose, especially not the first game of the season, but there was plenty of time to come back and dorian wasn’t one to dwell on losses so much as plan for the next win. and he had enough friends on the other team that he didn’t mind celebrating their win—even when it meant his loss. that didn’t mean he wanted to be the center of the party, right now, though. “nah, nah, i don’t think i’m up for a dance right now—-gotta stake a claim on this chair for the rest of the night, i think.”
"he said no.” she stated firmly, annoyed at the girl who had squirmed he way over to him. it took her twenty minutes to draw up the courage to walk over to dorian but jac had cut her off, sticking a cup in the hand that the other girl had meant to be grabbing. “there’s plenty of people already dancing...” jacqueline turned her back, stepping in between them before perching on the arm of his chair. “--you did well. it’s a shame that you lost though.”
