My Astarion pin is in the shop! I've never used pearl but it was perfect to mimic the velvet inside a coffin!

Which LU Character do you think suffers from chronic headaches/migraines
Sky (altitude and pressure causes him pains)
Legend (lets give him some more pain, shall we?)
Time (old man)
Twilight (cowboy's head goes ow, from switching from wolf to man?)
Four (colours fight)
Wild (residual pain from almost death)
Wind (not the child!)
Hyrule (he can heal everyone's pain but himself)
I wanna write something that i know, and i know headaches.

Whenever I think of Camp Jupiter.. I just get so.. mad. Knowing that even after 11 years of Jason's sheer service, even after the fact that he dedicated his whole life to Rome at the age of 2, a ripe CHILD, a BABY, nobody even cared to look for him even 6 months after his disappearance..??
Nobody went "I miss Jason!" Like everyone did in Camp half blood for Percy, even the hunters of Artemis went out of their way to look for him. Jason's "friends" Dakota or Gwendolyn never spared a glance at his direction, his friendship with Reyna was fractured because of communication issues, etc.
Camp Jupiter was, realistically NOTHING without Jason (and Reyna duh) yet they have the audacity to neglect him.
And then they cheaply "made up" for it by giving him some grand state funeral. What's the point? His body was wrapped in an expensive silk, but his soul left that world feeling useless and unwanted. An expensive fancy funeral isnt going to change that.
His funeral was dark and empty, because not a single one of his Greek friends could make it.
Jason Grace was doomed to be chained to the clutches of the soulless camp of Rome till the very end. Like Michael Varus said "born a roman, die a roman"
Camp Jupiter was more or less a dystopian society covered up with beautiful architecture. Like shiny fake gold that wears off its glow.

HELL YEAH HELL FUCKING YEAH THATâS PERCY AND THATâS HIS DEADBEAT DAD AND DEADBEAT UNCLE!!!!!!
every day i ponder a world where in percy jackson's greek heroes during the psyche chapter when percy was like "she feared her husband was a monster for the prophecy claimed she would marry one, but he was so sweet and perfect, how could he ever be one?" there was a side note reading "my friend jason would tell you the prophecy was fulfilled and that eros is the worst monster of them all. no clue what that's about, every time i ask him he starts muttering something about cupid and nico and closets, whatever that means. along with a fair amount of things i wouldn't dare put to words" and then i cry and wish i was there
Zeus is black. This is not a drill. THIS IS NOT A DRILL.
Admittedly, excitement for this show aside, it's so nice to see someone that isn't just a white dude with a beard as the King of Gods. It's refreshing. Because they can appear as any race or anything.
The gods aren't static, but that casting is electric.
Are you a âOh my god heâs a kidâ (ecstatic because itâs the first sign of a faithful adaptation that will flourish across the years following Percy as he grows up) or a âOh my god heâs a kidâ (horrified being now grown up by the cyclic realisation that awful things are going to happen to a scrawny teenager) pjo fan or both
so youâre telling me this whole time hades, poseidon or zeus couldve just banged a dude?? imagine another big 3 kid rolls into camp and theyâre like âoh ur dad broke the oath⊠which means youâre gonna have to pay for itâŠâ and this kids like âlol which dad?â
no oath broken. loophole of the century.
whoever messaged me âpoophole loopholeâ im sending you a cease and desist.
OUR MAIN TRIO JUST GOT COMPLETED!!!
not gonna get into anything negative because the casting has been out for barely a day but like. for ppl complaining abt preferring âbook annabethâ (which??? just say white annabeth if thatâs what you mean đ) i need you to really examine where that preference originates, and what exactly is so important about annabeth being white, that a black actress canât do the job. this is an argument that happens every time a woc, specifically a black actress, gets cast in roles where the character was originally white, and that argument has always been rooted in racismÂ
I agree with you.
I admit, I get nervous when adaptation actors don't look the way the source material describes. However, I'm certain they'll play their parts well or they wouldn't be cast. I'm actually glad Annabeth isn't white. I think it'll add much needed rep to the story and make it more enjoyable for a wider audience. I wish it could have been Percy, but that's okay. The cookie crumbles the way it crumbles, it is what it is.
My personal anxiety (that I'm actively addressing) comes from this: nearly every time I've seen a book based show cast actors that don't look like the book describes, they take a hard turn somewhere in the plot and change a bunch of things unnecessarily. It's not 100% and it's not always bad, but I've seen it a lot. I don't *think* that'll be an issue here since Rick is involved, but it's always a track playing in the back of my head. I'll be happy as long as the story doesn't fall flat.
And sure, I know there will be differences, that's guaranteed. There are things in the story that will need to be changed to better suit the current state of the world-- specifically if they get far enough, there's a few concerning details in Heroes of Olympus they'll need to address in one way or another.
It boils down to this: we donât know what's happening yet. Annabeth being black is the least of our worries, and we all need to remember that she wouldn't be there if she didn't fit the role well. Like it or not, Annabeth is now black. And that's fucking rad a hell.
my toxic trait is whenever i picture Roman campers and Greek campers together i think abt peanut butter jelly sandwiches bc of the colors.
