Sometimes I think about how Oliver Queen went from thinking he would die alone and didnât deserve love
to falling in love with the one person he could really care about
to pouting really friggin hard when he thought Felicity Smoak didnât want to marry him.
to getting everything he deserves.
Like thatâs my OTP. Thatâs my honey.
And thatâs how Arrow ends. I refuse to accept anything less, canon or not.
Yep! And they lived Happily Ever After

âMeet the heart of my other baby Archer.â
âWow!â Oliver whistled in admiration, âFelicity, Baby, you really got this place up and running quick. It looks almost as beautiful as you.â
âThank you.â His wife blushed, hand resting on her hip with the other on her protruding baby belly, âWait a minute, you didnât break my tablet again, did you?â
âNope.â He replied honestly, pressing a peck to her forehead, âCome on. Come on, Smoak. Please give me the full grand tour.â

Thank you, Emily Bett for a wonderful journey.Â
Emily Bett Rickards Announces Arrow Exit Ahead of Final Season [x]
The Green Arrow appears to be losing his leading lady, with Arrow star Emily Bett Rickards announcing that she will depart the superhero drama ahead of its eighth and final season. TVLine has reached out to The CW to confirm. Rickards posted the shocking announcement to Instagram on Saturday, which in part reads, âFelicity and I are a very tight two, but after one through seven we will be saying goodbye to you.â Arrow costar Colton Haynes commented on Rickardsâ post, saying, âYou will be missed my love. So happy this journey brought us together.â As previously reported, Arrow will end its run with a 10-episode Season 8. The final seasonâs abbreviated run means the CWâs flagship superhero series will wrap up shortly after this fallâs âCrisis on Infinite Earthsâ crossover with The Flash and Supergirl (and possibly Legends of Tomorrow). CW President Mark Pedowitz hinted at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour in January that the special event will take âsome big swings.â Rickardsâ originally came on board as a guest star. Felicity was introduced as an IT technician at Queen Consolidated before the character became a part of Oliverâs vigilante team. She was promoted to series regular very early in Season 1.
So I havenât really watched Arrow that closely for a few seasons, I tend to come and go but this feels wrong.
Surely even if EBR wanted to leave they could have worked out a lesser schedule to suit her but keep Felicity in the story. I mean itâs 10 episodes, not a huge commitment.
Which makes me think this is more of a writing based decision. So that means everything weâve seen in the flash forwards are staying true. Meaning Felicity needs to leave Star City before she starts showing and then stays away raising Mia in that cabin.
Which is just ugh, I had so many high hopes for this season with Beth but really sad to see where itâs all going.
So heartbroken to see EBR leave but wish her nothing but the best! And Iâll still be here floating around but I wonât be in a rush to watch the new episodes. *hugs* to all the devastated Felicity, Olicitiy and OTS fans.
I think itâs the opposite.
I think Beth wrote it that way knowing that Emily was not returning after season 7, that she didnât want to en-act a Felicity pregnancy with a prosthetic tummy.
I think Emily had made the decision not to return before filming season 7 started and Beth used that knowledge to weave the future mystery of Mia.
I think Beth did the best considering the hands she was dealt, with Emily and Stephen both telling them they donât want to come back for season 8. As well as whatever story she had written Colton that he couldnât deliver based on his personal setbacks. It made no sense how much they hyped him up in SDCC then he was barely there but eventually everything comes out.
Whether Greg has convinced Stephen to actually appear in season 8 besides the crossover episode- that remains to be seen.
@almondblossomme if she knew Emily and Stephen donât want to come back why not write towards the happy stories like they are alive and live with their children instead what we have nowâŠ.
The spinoff..
She wanted to create a dark mystery with the Next generation for the younger audience to watch. Where the Arrow is a girl.
To cater for the rise in the demand for more female lead superhero shows. But more in the image of the gritty original.
Plus, itâs simple. Itâs Bethâs first show runner EP role, she needed to prove herself and show she is up to the task of not only ending one story but starting another that she will be in charge of developing.
Itâs not just about ending Arrow a happy ending @arrowiefan itâs about business; future shows and future jobs, entire studios with crews and cast.
@almondblossomme I forgotâŠitâs all about business!
I get all your points @almondblossomme, and they make sense 100%.
But, my heart says: if they really wanted, they could had Felicity in a least one scene in each episode. We all know how the cast is always all over the place and on a place. It was possible. It was like being a guess start without actually being one.
Again my heart is talking louder than my brain.Â
Iâm all with your heart @nalla-madness, but TV scheduling can be a nightmare. And if the announcement coming on Tuesday is that âReborningâ is transferring Off-Broadway or doing some other kind of major engagement, that scheduling will also likely not allow for a consistent presence in S8.
Hereâs hoping that weâll get a miracle and sheâll appear in the series finale.
I know @storyteller0311 :( But, my heart is screaming nonsenseâŠ
I really believe she will. If thatâs not possible during the production of that episode, that can always film it first, way before theyâre working on that actual episode. If they want it, they can always find ways to do it. Hell, that can even film it during the summer. Itâs not impossible (see heart is screaming).
Thank you Emily! âFelicity and I are a very tight two But after one through seven we will be saying goodbye to you I thank you all for the time weâve shared The elevators we have climbed The monsters we have faced and scared And The burgers we have dined I will keep her in my heart for always And I hope that you can too Because she would not be alive if it werenât for all of you đ Love, Felicity and Meâ
Time for a story - An incurable ache
Felicity closed the door behind her as quietly as possible. Instead of kicking her high heels away into the next corner, she left them next to the door. She tiptoed to the living room. Since the door was left ajar, she could lean into the doorframe and sneak a look inside. What she saw there made her smile.
Millie and Addie had dressed up in their best princess costumes. Raisa had created a unique updo for both of their hairs, and it brought out the best of the plastic tiaras they were wearing. They looked like the three little fairies in Disneyâs Sleeping Beauty while they were rushing around to set the small table for their tea party.
