So I saw this post where someone suggests Dean actually wanted to die. If you analyze the scene it kinda seems like it.

And then the “we gotta move on” phrase wasn’t because he didn’t care that Cas died. What if those were words specifically for Sam, that even when we lose someone we love, we have to move on.

Then this pie festival, the number of pies he took, as if this was his last supper...

Sam wanted to call for help, but Dean just didn’t want to live ?

WHAT IF HE PULLED A ROMEO !!!!!

He thought Cas is dead, just as Romeo thought Juliet was dead... and so he prefers to die too.

And then in heaven when Bobby says Cas helped, Dean smiles and thinks “son of a bitch”.

Do I make sense hahaha

So, they fixed heaven ...

I don't think it was a good thing they fixed heaven. I mean, if Dean had to die - then I'm happy Dean get's this kind of heaven, but on the other hand - heaven has always been this twisted thing. You only got to relive your live - so if you didn't like your life, if you had no good days to relive - you had do stick around on earth and try untill you had some good one's. You had to try to turn your live into something you would like to relive for all of eternity. And now? Oh, live sucks, just move on to heaven, where you'll meet everyone (even on screen, if it hadn't been for covid), perhaps even new people, make new memories. Heaven - the place where you don't have to worry about food, housing, money, where you can go everywhere, meet everyone, be yourself. So, to break it down drasically - why keep fighting? ... soooo - why even try to keep living? .. Why even try to call an ambulance when you got impaled in a barn ... Sure, no one of the living in the supernatural world knows what awaits them in heaven. ... but the audience of the show now knows this as the final form of heaven... This is now how the show ends, this is how after 15 years of fighting for free will, of fighting for a chance to make some good memories that weren't written for you, but acutally created on your own free will, on your decicions. After years of “always keep fighting” .....

Can you imagine - someone, perhaps in a bad headspace to start with, finds this show, binge watches it - and this is the finale .. “so, heaven looks great” "heaven fixes everything", "dying fixes things" ... I hate this tought, I hate where this could end.

And I don’t want anyone to loose hope that earth can be a wonderful place, nearly 8 years ago I was quite acitve here on tumblr. I had gotten to know quite a few people having a hard time, struggeling so much with live. I’ve spend some nights just chatting with a few of them about fandom stuff, live in gerenal and tried to tell them to just hang in there. You know what - they’re still around - posting pictures on instagram of their families, their travels, their adventures. And it makes me smile everytime. Please despite what I fear this ending might make you feel, please always keep fighting.
