You know what’s one thing I want to see?

A novel that treats platonic friendship with the same grandiose as romance. I want a novel with the structure of a romance novel—including a meet-cute, a confession, etc.—but the whole thing is platonic. I want a platonic romance novel that treats finding your best friend with the same jubilee as finding your soulmate.

The only book I can think of that gets close to this is Radio Silence by Alice Oseman.

I love romance as much as anyone else, but let’s romantize platonic soulmates more!
