The manosphere & incel view on standards for women is so wild. Dudes will complain that they cannot get laid and then say that they only want a woman who is 10+ years younger than them, attractive, fit, willing to go 50/50 on everything financially, willing to submit to him as the greatest authority and also a virgin who has never kissed anyone. And then they complain about not being able to find a worthy wife or even a hookup while refusing to lower their standards even a little. I hate how people call it a ‘gender war’ like gender-based violence doesn’t primarily go in one direction and there aren’t incels with podcasts saying that the 19th Amendment should be overturned. There has never been a Gamergate for women, there has yet to be a female Elliot Rodger. This is not a war. And there is a definite reason that women today are outspoken about being disillusioned by and disgusted with their male peers and committed to decentering men in their lives and it isn’t because all these women are radical misandrists who do not see men as human.
