Jason was shaking as he stood up after beating a man who had been harassing innocent people trying to enjoy themselves at a gay bar.

Stood on the alleyway, his gloved hands covered in red.

He didn't regret it, no. He was shaking because he was full of pent-up rage. He didn't mean to go too far this time, but it was too late to think about that now before police sirens could be heard nearby, so he made a quick exit to the rooftops, his heart still racing from the adrenaline.

He could practically hear his heart beating in his ear as he travelled back to the batcave, his hand gripping the handles of his motorcycle tightly.

He made a particularly loud entrance into the batcave, stopping his motorcycle abruptly and getting off. He took off his helmet and let out a deep sigh, wiping sweat from his brow.

Dick laughed as he heard Jason calling out to him. The feeling of his body plummeting to the ground at top speed was truly euphoric. He enjoyed that feeling for as long as he possibly could before taking out his grappling hook and shooting it to the next building over.

Then, just as quickly as he was falling, his body was jerked in another direction. He swung like a kid on a playground, hips up, toes over head, until his feet struck solid ground. Then he shimmied up the line before repelling to another rooftop. Only then did he glance back to make sure Jason was keeping up, staying just a breath out of the younger man's reach.

Jason was gaining on him, grappling and swinging, not as fast because of his bulk but he wasn't slow by any means.

"You know you have an unfair advantage!" He yelled out to him as he followed, smirking a little as he thought about how he could get the jump on him and surprise him.

Dick laughed in response. He knew Jason could probably catch up to him eventually. They had all spent their formative years jumping these rooftops. Rappelling down impossible skyscrapers, swinging from flagpoles, vaulting over chimneys and through windows... they had perfected the art of parkour before there was a word for it. Just because Dick was the first, didn't mean he was the best. That was part of what it meant to be the big brother. You learned to fly so your brothers could soar. But he realized he was actually thinking about being a hero - not specifically rooftop tag.

Jason smirked, gaining faster on him. He thought about how they used to do this when he was Robin for the brief period when they had seen each other. They weren't close then before he died, but they had their moments. He understood how hard it was for Dick to find out that some new kid had taken his place, but he was angry at Bruce, not him for that.

On a different roof, Jason threw a smoke bomb in front of Dick and he managed to grab his waist, tackling him down.

"You're getting old" he joked, knowing Dick wasn't really old, he just enjoyed getting under his skin

Jason groaned a little "I'm not doing therapy and you know you can't make me-" he huffed out a little "Roy already suggested it and I kicked him out of our bed for it" he muttered and he paused as he realised he let slip that he was living with Roy "I mean...uh..at a motel.." he cleared his throat

He fidgeted a little, but he knew it would be fine. Just awkward that Roy was Dicks old friend.

"No, no, not *that* kind of therapy!" Dick waved both hands.

He paused a moment to absorb what Jason just said. "Huh." He touched his thumb to his lip thoughtfully before hopping down from the desktop. "One topic at a time." He decided.

"No. I have something else in mind." He sprang to the staircase, doing a quick one-handed cartwheel that landed him in front of the secret door to Bruce's office. "Meet me on the roof of the Knight's Dome in fifteen."

Jason stood up, looking a little confused "at the knights dome? For what? Brooding?" He joked, knowing his older brother he had something up his sleeve.

"I already got brooding covered, but I'll be there. For you. You're not gonna let it go until you know I'm better, I know that's for sure"

Dick smirked. "Good. You've learned well." He teased. He opened the door and disappeared into the manor.

Ten minutes later, he was on the roof of the Gotham Knights Sports Dome, dressed in his Nightwing uniform, standing with his hands folded behind him. He decided he looked very broody and mysterious up there in the darkness.

Jason wasn't very agile when he was climbing onto rooftops, his heavy boots gave him away as he walked up to Dick and he nudged him

"You look dramatic. What's with the mysterious vibe?" He teased, almost forgetting why they were here

Dick waited until Jason was next to him. He put on his most serious expression, and with his very best Batman impression (which was actually pretty good considering he had actively *been* the Batman on more than one occasion), responded without turning. "As Nightwing and the First Robin, it is my duty to look after each corresponding Robin. I am Vengence upon all who dare to come against the Bat Family and make my siblings upset. And like my father before me, I am also..."

He finally cracked a smile, his voice returning to normal. "...Extremely hard to catch."

With one index finger, Dick poked Jason in the chest. "Tag. You're it." And then he leaped off the roof.

Jason let out a startled noise and he ran to the edge of the roof "Di-Nightwing!"

He smiled though before jumping down after him, giving chase. It felt like old times and he could feel the adrenaline.

He felt like it was unfair, with Nightwing having a more agile build than him

Donna Troy, the new addition to Gotham. She stared at him, a serious expression on her face.

"What was that back there?"

Jason huffed, taking off his bloody gloves as he looked to her "what? Are you stalking me now?" He muttered a little, bristling and posturing himself as he got defensive "some jerk wants to harass and hurt innocent people, I'm not gonna stand by that. I don't need a lecture from you or anyone about how I handled it" he grumbled as he tried to wipe the blood from his helmet

"Jason, what are you wiping off your hands then?" Donna asked, looking at him.

"We both know you went overboard on this. What happened?"

Jason swallowed thickly, he knew she meant how he lost his cool the way he did "he was a homophobic asshole, he was going to hurt somebody" he muttered

He gripped his helmet tightly "reminded me of some assholes I knew on the street when I was a kid..." he murmured "so I taught him a lesson. Maybe he'll think twice before threatening innocent people" he murmured, unsure if the man even survived the beating anyway

Donna listened, and she gestured for him to sit down.

"I understand the customs of here are different than my people, especially in the regards of how one should express themselves or who to love, but remember; justice, not vengeance." Donna said, sounding less firm than earlier.

"And you also gotta keep in mind of the people who need protecting. They saw you brutally manhandle someone-are you trying to put fear in the innocents?" She asked, calm in her tone.

Jason sat down, and he softened a little as he remembered hearing people screaming, and he swallowed down his guilt "I didn't mean to I..." he looked down a little fidgeting "he deserved it but...they didn't deserve to see it. I know I look scary when I get like that"

His shoulders slumped as he leaned back "it was personal I guess...it..made me lose myself"

"Hey." Donna gently put her hand on his shoulder. "You did take down a bad guy. Just use this moment to learn. It's going to be okay, Jason."

Jason took a deep breath and he shook his head "I've just had a hard time..." he muttered "and I took it out on him. Maybe I should have listened to Roy when he told me to get a different outlet that isn't violent-"

He shrugged his jacket off. "He also called me a closet case once. I have no idea what he meant by that. I'm...perfectly secure in my sexuality. I've had one kinda girlfriend when I was Robin"

"Reminder that no one has the power to take your identity or sexuality away, unless you give it to them." Donna said. "And finding a different outlet to help your trauma and promote healing does sound like a good idea. Why not look into it?"

Jason hummed softly "Thanks..." he murmured a little

"Maybe I'll take up knitting or puzzles" he joked a little, relaxing a little, but he did remember he had police to worry about "uh..think I need to lay low for a while before showing myself again"

"I know you're joking but I do crotcheting. I enjoy it." Donna said.

"Oh and about the police? I handled it. They seemed to understand that Red Hood getting handled by a Wonder Woman seemed appropriate enough of a punishment."

Jason smirked a little "yeah, I wouldn't stand a chance against you" he murmured "I think I'd faint if you put my in a headlock" he joked flirted with her, smiling now as he lightened the mood

"I'm confident you could handle it. You're stronger than the average man." Donna pointed out.

Jason puffed up with pride at that and smiled "that's a compliment coming from you, Donna" he chuckled a little "you can put in a good word for me with Diana right?"

Donna laughed, but she nodded.

"Of course I can." She said, clapping his shoulder.

"Come, let's get some food. We must restore our energy."

Jason visibly perked up, and he smiled a little bit "don't tell Dick I actually like you" he chuckled, nudging her as he stood up, stretching
