Tim’s Muggy Day
Working all night in the batcave trying to find evidence and clues for a mysterious new villain Tim Drake was dangerously low on his caffeine intake and ready to collapse.
Grumbling curses he sluggishly lifts himself out of the batchair stumbling the way to the caves exit he thinks to himself that he really need to charge up on his awake juice.
Reaching the exit Tim's fatigued mind couldn't remember the code to leave the cave. "Damn it!" Tim cursed.
Multiple attempts latter losing his patience he punched the keypad in frustration. Hearing the cave wall open he took a step back in surprise "What the hell that worked? So much for top of the line security Bruce" Tim said in a daze.
Walking to the kitchen Tim observes the numerous portraits of the heads of the Wayne family lining the walls. They always left him feeling a little uneasy as if judging him for not being a true Wayne he always wondered if Dick and Jason felt the same.
Arriving at the kitchen Tim opened a cupboard attempting to grab a coffee mug before realizing there's none. Sighing in resignation he searched the other cupboards but all the mugs were missing. "What the hell..." Tim muttered.
"Tt" a Annoyed voice clicked.
Tim spun around in surprise lifting his hands up in a pitiful attempt as if to defend himself from an attack. "Y-You almost gave me a heart attack Demon"
Tim said annoyed.
Damian looked at Tim as if he was an idiot before responding "I don't plan to kill you with an heart attack Drake" he paused before continuing. "That's too clean a death I want you to suffer and for everyone to know it was me" he finished smirking.
Tim rolled his eyes." I thought we were done with you attempting to kill me Demon?"
Damian lifted himself higher locking eyes with Tim." I've been biding my time Drake..." Damian slowly answered maintaining eye sight. "...until I could strike."
The two boys stared each other down for a few moments before Tim broke into laughter startling Damian. Tim was clutching onto his stomach shaking slightly from laughing so hard.
Seeing the look on Tim's face Damian crossed his arms defensively. "Are you questioning my ability to kill you Drake?" Damian spat.
"No no!" Tim finally managed to say between laughs, once he finally caught his breath he wiped away the tears forming in his eyes. “You are always so dramatic” He laughed. "Anyway why are you here Damian?
Damian lifted an eyebrow before bluntly replying. " I live here "
Tim awkwardly chuckled "uh I know that that's not what i mea-"
"Why are you here Drake?" Damian interrupted.
The two continued to stare each other down like they were sizing up their next moves until Tim decided to speak again.
"I was actually looking for a coffee mug" Tim stated casually while opening and closing cabinets.
"Is that right Drake" Damian sounded amused. "You wanted to know why I was here didn't you Drake?"
"Ye-"
"I was here to warn you about the weather Drake" he cut off.
Tim was completely surprised by this answer and looked towards Damian in disbelief " The Weather?" he asked in doubt.
Damian lifted his head and clasped his hands behind his back grinning cockily. "Yes I've heard it's going to be very...muggy outside"
Tim blinked confused at Damian's response not sure what it meant...wait muggy?
Taking a deep breath as if to calm himself Tim looked at Damian before slowly asking. "Damian, I swear, if I step outside and all of our mugs are on the front lawn...I will-"
“rest assured Drake, there are no mugs on the front lawn” Damian's eyes were alight with amusement.
Tim sighed in relief before pausing then where were the coffee mugs? Looking at Damian, Tim could tell his little brother was at fault opening his mouth to question him again he stopped did he just hear helicopter blades?
Tim looked at Damian with blank eyes. "Is that a Helicopter I hear?" he asked tonelessly.
Damian face as If possible somehow got even smugger. "I did warn you it was going to be muggy outside Drake" he said with a shit eating grin.
Tim stood completely still not moving or speaking.
A second passed.
And another.
Tim's face scrunched up in horror "No no oh God no" he whispered body trembling.
Tim suddenly took off out of the kitchen running towards the front door knocking over 2 priceless vases jumping over a couch and falling over a coffee table all in the process repeatedly chanting no in his head reaching door he flung it open as hard as he could seeing a scene straight out of scarecrows feargas.
There was Jason piloting a Helicopter but no that was not the scary part it was the giant net hanging from the helicopter filled with his coffee mugs even the ones from Wayne Enterprises and Titans Tower were there.
"No..." Tim said in horror.
"Test, test" Tim heard looking up he heard Jason's voice coming from the helicopters Loudspeakers.
"Good Morning this is your pilot speaking with just a little flight information if you look below you will see the replacement about to have a mental breakdown, make sure to have brought your metal umbrellas because it's about to get really muggy outside." Jason's voice came from the speakers
"No no...." Tim whimpered.
"3"
Tim Shuddered
"2"
Hearing someone right behind him Tim quickly looked back seeing the Demons face lit up in anticipation.
"Jason Stop!" Tim yelled in desperation. "Don't do this please" he begged desperately.
"1"
Tim closed his eyes waiting to hear the impact but he heard nothing.
He opened his eyes and his blood froze.
There was no Helicopter in the sky.
In fact there wasn't a sky at all but the bright familiar screen of the batcomputer.
"What happened...what happened?!" Tim managed to stutter out.
Taking a moment to calm his beating heart Tim looked around the desk of the batcomputer noticing his red robin mug.
Tim breathed a sigh of relief. "It was just a dream... it was just a dream." He whispered his voice cracking and eyes tearing up in happiness.”It was only a dream”
